Kelsey was great. He was easy to ask questions of and very knowledgable.
Cam was great as usual. I have been a customer with Comfort Central about from the beginning. Over the years they have installed heating and cooling systems in each home every time I have moved. I have always been very happy with their service, workmanship and products.
The Comfort Central technicians were very courteous and professional. The details of the job were clearly explained, and the pricing was very reasonable. I'm impressed with this company and would highly recommend.
Found main breaker on a/c to be tripped. Reset breaker turned unit on. Large spark happened at contactor. Found melted wires at contactor. Both L1L2 wires have heading that is melted Had to trim a bush next to air conditioner, so I could get to the service panel on the air conditioner. In doing so disturbed a yellow jacket nest in the bush. I think they were coming out of the ground. I’m not sure I couldn’t get close. You’ll need an exterminator to kill the yellow jackets when that happens. Call us back out and we’ll try to figure out What shorted on your air conditioner. Indoor breaker is off. Outdoor service disconnect is out. I was able to put a garbage bag over the top of the unit because I couldn’t put the service panel door back on.
No air to front bedroom. Checked 8 inch duck going to front bedroom no issues found found zone one damper partially open when it should’ve been all the way open. The damper was actually deflecting air away from the 8 inch collar. Try to test damper From zone control every time I try to open the damper it would open halfway and stick zone damper. Also zone damper actuator is making an Also zone damper actuator is making a buzzing sound. This is not normal. Sound Actuator should be replaced. I disconnected the two wires and forced the damper open so all areas of the house will get air
Found auxiliary drain pan full and condensate pump powered but not working - replaced condensate pump - removed water - cleared and treated drain line - cycled system to check operation. Found system about a pound low on r410a refrigerant charged to manufacturers specifications and checked unit operation - everything looks and runs great! Fixed bent Schrader on true suction line by replacing Schrader core.
Performed spring maintenance on system. For the age of the system it is still working within manufacturer specifications. Cleaned indoor and outdoor coil and cleared condensate drain. Tested system operation. Superheat is 10 and subcool is 5. Compressor is pulling 7.6 amps and outdoor fan motor is pulling .7 amps. Indoor blower is pulling 1.7 amps. Indoor temperature difference between return and supply is 19.6. Both capacitors are within manufacturer specifications.
Performed spring maintenance. For age of system it is currently great working condition. Indoor blower is pulling 1.2 amps Temperature difference between return and supply is 20 degrees Outdoor compressor is pulling 5.5 amps, outdoor fan is pulling .6 amps. Cleaned indoor and outdoor unit and cleared out condensate drain.
Found system low on refrigerant. Added refrigerant to manufacturer specs and performed a leak search. Was unable to find leak in system. Also, when I pulled the disconnect out half the copper stayed in the disconnect. Replaced disconnect and tested system operation. System is now working properly. Blower is pulling 1.2 amps Outdoor fan is pulling .9 amps Outdoor compressor is pulling 6.3 amps. System has a 21 degree temperature difference.
Performed heating tune up on heat pump system checking all system components including, electrical, refrigerant balance, electric resistance heat, system start up, operation, shut down, defrost. Everything on system looks and runs great! Would like to quote taking bathroom duct and extending it to the SW bedroom of home ~15' - 20' and changing current duct in that bedroom from a 6" to an 8" also ~15'
Found low voltage fuse blown. Tested operation to see if there is a short. System shut done again do to a low voltage short. Found short inside outdoor unit on pressure switch. Repaired wire made sure no other wires were gonna have a rubout and short closed. Everything up tested it again for operation.
Found burned fuse on blower board - replaced fuse - repaired connection on common wire at outdoor unit. Cycled unit to check operation. Everything looks and runs great!
Performed heating maintenance tune up on heat pump system checking all electrical components, refrigerant balance, defrost, unit start up, operation ,shut down, back up resistance heat operation, cleaning of drain trap, treatment of drain pan, everything looks and runs great! No recommended changes at this time.
Performed ultimate heating tune ups on both furnace systems performing a full combustion analysis. Cleaning of burners and sensors, cycling of safeties, flushing of drains, checking start up, operation, shut down, checked all electrical components. Everything looks and runs great! No recommended changes at this time.
Performed ultimate heating tune up for gas furnace system. Performed full combustion analysis, checked all electrical components, flushed and treated drain lines, cleaned burners, flame sensor, checked start up, operation, shutdown.
CO at 18 ppm. O2 9%. Checked refrigerant levels in straight cool AC; homeowner mentioned system leaked previously. Burners are clean. Gas valve is good with no sign of leaks. Wall filter changed by homeowner. Checked amps, caps, volts, temps, and pressures. Blower has some dust, but no blockages that would require cleaning. System lights off cleanly with a good flame. Inducer also working as intended. System is functioning normally.
Replaced condenser fan motor tested operation of system and air-conditioning no other issues found today
