Superb Service as Usual

We've been pleasantly associated with Comfort Central for approximately 2 years and have had the opportunity to utilize their very competent technician Cameron on several occasions. Very helpful

Jay and Benjamin did a great job yesterday installing the new dehumidifier. Their service went above and beyond when they identified ductwork that was disconnected and leaking. They showed us the problems (along with other non-hvac concerns), gave us a price estimate, and made the needed repairs. Another great job by Comfort Central.

Quick response

Cameron was able to get to us quickly on the day we called. Diagnosis was quick and accurate. The repair was efficiently done after the part arrived a few days later. After the quote initially, I wanted to check around to see what others charged for the same repair, but came back to Comfort Central to have them do the work. Cameron was very pleasant to work with. Looks like we may have found our go-to HVAC company.

Jay was a godsend!. I thought that my water heater/heating system was a goner. Jay checked out all of my HVAC systems, determined that my pilot light had just gone out, taught me how to relight it if needed, and gave me a safe, two ingredient recipe to rid whatever critters had been leaving their sizeable droppings in the equipment closet. Wonderful customer service, great people and great company

I had an issue with my new heat pump that was not due to the install that they did, but to debris in the drain line. Kevin came out the same day we called, found the problem, explained what it was and got our system working again. He told us what to watch for and if needed will come back to replace the drain line. He did not charge me for a service call and was helpful and professional. Comfort Central has exhibited great customer service from the first service call with Cameron when my old system failed, Kevin doing the estimate, Laurie in the office helping me with financing options to Jay and his crew doing the install and Kevin taking care of the recent problem. Great people and a great company. They have my business as long as I still live here!

All upstairs minisplits running within manufacturer's specifications. Found downstairs unit outdoor condenser fan motor not operating and system cycling on thermal due to the failure of the motor. Recommend replacement of condenser fan motor and system's outdoor ambient/coil temperature sensor as there has been some rodent chew on the wires. Will follow up with pricing and availability for both parts.

Found tstat set to 64 and was 46 in house. Checked furnace. By jumping low voltage wires. System started up. Check power coming from thermostat found out that the float switch on the condensate pump was tripped. This causes no electricity to go into the furnace to start it. Found GFI for condensate pump to be tripped. Reset the trip and started system. Tested pump four times and verified that it wasn’t causing high amps to trip the ground fault outlet. Then turned system on tested operation no other issues found

Customer states system icing and unresponsive sometimes when unit set to higher temperatures in morning after night time set back. Tested system operation, checked system defrost and outdoor ambient sensors and sensor locations. Allowed system to run a long cycle to see if system was icing abnormally, temperature differentials were normal and system operates normally at this time. Recommend keeping an eye on system for awhile and report if system isn't defrosting again.

Goodman unit flashing five code. Won’t reset when power is cycled. Board fault is telling me that there is a grounding condition on the flame sensor. Tested wire and flame sensor. Nothing is grounded out. Seems like the board is reading something that’s not happening. We should replace the board.

Found heat pump going off on high-pressure at 600 psi. Generally this happens because not enough air movement is going across indoor coil. Plugged a 3 inch hole that was around the line set to try to get more air through the coil. Plugged the floor, where the copper comes through the floor. Checked The blades on the indoor blower wheel. They they are clean. Check both sides of the evaporator coil. They are clean. Check the bottom of the evaporator coil to make sure it was having good contact with the metal it sits on. Led sped the blower up too high. None of these things made any difference. I believe the ductwork on your house can’t handle the amount of air that is required for a 4 ton unit. This would make the coil overheat, which would cause the pressure on the high side to go up and cycle the outdoor unit off on high pressure. I recommend you call the people that installed this and let them deal with this. If it was installed less than a year ago, state law requires parts and lab
