Cameron came out to address an air distribution box in our attic that was damaged. He was able to repair the box without having to replace it. While he was there He also made some changes to the tubing to improve airflow.

Our heat quit working and it is only a few years old. I called Comfort Central and they were able to get someone out within 24 hours. Jay had the necessary parts and components on his van and had the system running within a short period of time. I was pleased that the cost was reasonable as well.

We’ve used Comfort Central for several years and have always been satisfied with their service. This year our 20 year old furnace started malfunctioning just when the weather turned cold. They were able to find and order a replacement part and get it repaired within a couple of days. As soon as it was available they had a technician here and it was fully functional

Ultimate Heating Tune-Up Heat Pump: serviced and inspected heat pump system, including electrical, safeties, controls, reversing valve and defrost cycle to manufacturer specifications.Do
Performed heating tune up service on heat pump systems checking all electrical components, refrigerant balance, unit start up, operation, defrost, shutdown, treatment of drain lines.
Performed heating tune up service on dual fuel system checking all electrical components, refrigerant balance, performed full combustion analysis, checked start up, operation, defrost, shutdown. Checked humidifier operation. Cleaned all furnace components, treated evaporator coil, treated drain lines and condensate pump. Everything looks and runs great!
Ultimate Heating Tune-Up Heat Pump: serviced and inspected heat pump system, including electrical, safeties, controls, reversing valve and defrost cycle to manufacturer specifications
Found capacitors on both outdoor units to be bad. Replace them started and tested. Ultimate Heating Tune-Up Heat Pump: serviced and inspected heat pump system, including electrical, safeties, controls, reversing valve and defrost cycle to manufacturer specifications.
I received an urgent after-hours call from a customer whose heat pump was running constantly but blowing cold air, with the outdoor unit completely covered in ice. I diagnosed a failure in the defrost cycle, tracing the issue to a faulty defrost control board that was not signaling the reversing valve. I replaced the bad board with a new one from my truck stock, initiated a manual defrost cycle to clear the ice, and confirmed the system successfully switched to providing powerful heat. The homeowner was extremely grateful for the fast emergency response that restored their heat on a cold night.
Found system fan on and operating normally checked system capacitors, electrical draws, and cycled system to check start up, operation, and shutdown of fan motor. Noted a loss of refrigerant since last visit in May - system has lost about 20-30 psi r410a - system is still operating within manufacturers' specifications but system is still leaking refrigerant and will lose more capacity over time. Recommended tenant to watch system for awhile and explained how fan motor and system operation works and what to do and look for if motor were to prematurely fail again. Still recommend replacement of system evaporator coil.
Performed AC tune up service on both heat pump systems checking all electrical components, refrigerant balance, system start up, operation, shutdown, cleaning of indoor and outdoor units, checking of system filters.
Pump down system, replace evaporator coil and txv with new OEM parts (covered under manufacturer's parts warranty). replace filter drier. Leak search repair site, evacuate system. Start up system, refrigerant balance to manufacturer specifications. Evaporator coil and txv warranty is the remainder of the original warranty (till 11/14/2028). One year labor warranty on repair.
Found capacitor on heat pump to be bad. Replace the capacitor. LED on board is telling me that compressor is off right now on thermal overload. May take up to 24 hours to cool off to start working properly.
System is very low on refrigerant. Found refrigerant leak in left rear corner at the drain pan. Charged to get cooling. Will advise on equipment repair vs replacement.
Found system low on r410a refrigerant again causing unit to freeze up and bypass drain causing system to leak into garage. Found indoor coil leaking on front lower left side on distribution tubes - marked with purple primer. Added 5 lbs r410a to system and cycled to check operation. Everything running normally again. Will follow up on pricing and availability of replacement indoor evaporator coil.
Handling a complex IAQ install today. Installing a bipolar ionization air purifier in the supply plenum. These devices reduce particulate count and neutralize airborne pathogens without producing ozone. I’m wiring it to the blower circuit and verifying polarity for optimal performance. Discussed airflow direction, placement, and maintenance with the homeowner.
Replacing an air filter on a residential rooftop AC unit today. The old fiberglass filter was collapsed and got sucked partway into the return, which can restrict airflow and stress the system. I’m installing a properly sized MERV 8 pleated filter with a sturdy metal backing to keep it in place and improve air quality inside the home.
