Upon my arrival I spoke with the tenants about their concerns with the system not cooling. Performing my diagnostics I found the voltage enhancement system has failed on the outdoor system and the condenser coil is dirty. I spoke with the home owner about my findings and went over repair options. They approved to have HN14A performed today. I installed a new voltage enhancement system, washed the condenser coil then ran a performance and safety testing on the system. I found everything to be operating within manufacture specifications at this time. The home owner does not wish to get maintenance due to the plan to sale the home in the near future.
Upon my arrival I evaluated 1 heat pump system. I verified system safety and performance is to manufacture specifications. Flushed and treated the water removal system. Cleaned the electrical cabinet and washed unit using water. Found that the voltage distribution system has burnt contacts, I also found that the airflow distribution system was dirty, using the electronic leak detector I found the leaks at the indoor coil Recommended an appointment with the comfort advisor but Louise declined that option at this time. I’ll send an estimate to replace the indoor heat exchanger. I’ll also send estimates for the cleaning of the indoor unit and the voltage distribution system. Louise would like the estimates and invoice mailed to her at this time. Due to the age of the system I would highly recommend setting up an appointment with the comfort advisor before selecting a repair option.
Upon arrival, I spoke with Dee Dee, who mentioned that the second-floor room is not cooling properly. She also requested a brief report on the system’s condition. During troubleshooting, I discovered a hole in the return plenum at the bottom joint, which was allowing attic air to be pulled into the system. Additionally, I found multiple sections of the supply plenum where the seams were coming apart, causing air to leak into the attic space. I received approval to repair the identified issues with both the return and supply plenums. After completing the repairs, I observed that the airflow to the top floor had significantly improved. I also replaced the air filter on the first floor. However, I did not replace the filter for the second floor, as the correct size was not available at the time. Dee Dee declined an estimate for the Comf1 upgrade for her system. I also noted that one of the half windows is partially uncovered and recommended that she install blinds to help improve over
I spoke with David regarding his HVAC concerns. He mentioned that the system is able to cool when outdoor temperatures are mild, but struggles to keep up when it gets hotter outside. During my inspection, David pointed out that the low-voltage wire to the condenser had been cut at the outdoor unit. While troubleshooting, I discovered several issues: • The inlet side of the heat exchanger was heavily covered in debris. • The indoor blower motor was also obstructed with buildup. • The condenser coil is in need of a thorough cleaning. I checked the system pressures, but due to the level of debris, a more accurate reading will be possible after the system has been properly cleaned. David approved the HK2D service option, which includes a complete system cleaning and replacement of the damaged low-voltage wire at the outdoor unit. He also opted into the Comf1 maintenance plan for continued care of his system. Our office will contact David shortly to schedule the necessary repairs.
Upon my arrival I evaluated 1 furnace split system. I verified system safety and performance is to manufacture specifications. Flushed and treated the water removal system. Cleaned the electrical cabinet and washed unit using water. Found the pressures lower than normal, I also found the voltage enhancement system lower than normal and I also found the start capacitor lower than normal. I was approved to add r410a and I only needed to add 4LB’s . Mike chose to wait before replacing the voltage enhancement system and the hard start kit.
Upon my arrival I spoke with the customer about their concerns with the comfort control being blank. I performed my diagnostics finding that the voltage conversion system has failed preventing conversion of high voltage to low voltage. I spoke with the customer about my findings and went over repair options. They approved HD2A today and I performed the approved repair while on site. I installed the new voltage conversion system and redid wire terminals coming to it. I then performed a performance and safety testing followed by the 6 month checked. Flushed and treated the water removal system, washed the condenser coil using water, cleaned and treated the electrical cabinet with electrical insecticide then verified systems safety and performance. Found everything to be operating within manufacture specifications at this time.
Upon my arrival I evaluated 1 furnace system. I verified system safety and performance is to manufacture specifications. Flushed and treated the water removal system. Cleaned the electrical cabinet and washed unit using water. Found the pressures for the main house condenser lower than normal, found the voltage enhancement system lower than normal, I also found the surge protector. O longer active. On the mini split I found no issues. David approved an estimate to replace the surge protector. I performed the repair option, this system is now working properly

Upon my arrival I evaluated 1 furnace system. I verified system safety and performance is to manufacture specifications. Flushed and treated the water removal system. Cleaned the electrical cabinet and washed unit using water. Found the voltage enhancement system and the voltage distribution system at the condenser lower than normal. I also recommended iFlo due to the drain being covered in orange residue. John declined the estimates at this time and wants to wait until the repairs are necessary.
Upon my arrival in Elgin I did AC Repair. I spoke with Sherri regarding her concerns about her HVAC system not cooling properly. During troubleshooting, I discovered that the voltage enhancement system for the first-floor outdoor unit was weak, which prevented the compressor from starting. I explained the issue to her in detail and presented replacement options. Sherri approved the Gold option, which included: • Cleaning the condenser coil • Replacing the voltage enhancement system • Replacing the voltage distribution system • Installing a hard start kit After completing the work, I performed a full performance and safety check. The system is now operating properly and efficiently.
Upon my arrival in Elgin I did AC Maintenance. evaluated 2 heat pump systems. I verified system safety and performance is to manufacture specifications. Flushed and treated the water removal system. Cleaned the electrical cabinet and washed unit using water. Found the pressures for the condenser on the left side of the house low on refrigerant I was approved to add refrigerant, I ended up adding 4lb’s and the pressures are now at manufacture recommended levels. I also recommended adding ss2 float switch for each airhandler and was approved. I recommended a cleaning of the left airhandler system and a replacement of the compressor plug and the discharge line temperature sensor wire , Joseph approved the estimate. I’ll let my office know so they can schedule a date to get the work completed. WO-TNFR517669
Upon my arrival in Elgin I did AC Tune-up. I performed a 6 month checkup on 1 straight cool furnace system. Flushed and treated the water removal system, washed the condenser coil with water, cleaned and treated the electrical cabinet with electrical insecticide, the verified the systems performance and safety. I found that exhaust removal system is over amping and the refrigerant pressure control is not metering properly causing high superheat. I spoke with the customer about my concerns and presented repair options. Given the systems age I advise against repairs and recommend having the equipment upgraded. This is something they will have to think about and will give us a call when they are ready to move forward with the consult. They are going to currently continue running the system as it is.
Upon my arrival in Elgin I did Air Conditioning. I spoke with the customers about their concerns with the system not cooling. Performing my diagnostics I found there wasn’t any high voltage present at the outdoor condenser due to a tripped breaker. I verified the compressor was not grounded and all ohm readings were within range. I also verified the voltage enhancement system was within range. After verification I turned the system on to check pressures and amp draws finding them to be within the manufacture specifications. I spoke with the customer about my findings and recommended having the breaker replaced for the system given it’s showing signs of weakness. They do have a handy man that can replace this for them and will have it done. System is currently cooling with no issues. They did not wish to sign back up for maintenance.
Upon my arrival in Elgin I did Heat-pump. I performed a 6 month checkup on 1 heat pump system. Flushed and treated the water removal system, washed the condenser coil with water, cleaned and treated the electrical cabinet with electrical insecticide, then verified the systems safety and performance. The comfort control was displaying it needed to be updated, I performed the update while on site updating it to the 4.47 version. System is operating within the manufacture specifications at this time.
Upon my arrival in Elgin I did AC Service. I spoke with the customer about their concerns with the system not cooling. Performing my diagnostics I found that the emergency drain pan was full of water due to the primary drain line being broken at the system. The water removal was backed up. There is not proof on the line got broken so I charged for clearing the water removal system today and fixed the drain line as well. I cleared the water removal system then stress tested the primary pan to verify it did not have any cracks. There were no signs of any cracks on the drain pan at this time. I also made corrections to the comfort control for the customer so it would no longer try to run a schedule and the back like stays illuminated at all times. System is working properly at this time.
