Gene arrived on time and performed semi annual maintenance on our hvac units. Since this was his first time here, he also performed an extensive review of our systems which included photos and videos. He then reviewed our systems and explained his recommendations. We were very impressed with his knowledge of hvac systems.

Arrived in Elgin for AC Maintenance, Upon our arrival we spoke with the customer about their concerns with the system, not cooling well. Performing our diagnostics and checking the fault codes at the UI control we found that the system has had several indoor air movement system faults. We are going to replace the main control board and the indoor air movement system under the 10 year p&l. Spoke with the customer about our findings today and let him know the office will reach out to schedule a return once parts are received.
Arrived in Elgin for AC Maintenance, Upon arrival we spoke with the customer, he let us know that his primary drain was clogged. We inspected the indoor unit then spoke with the customer about options for clearing the primary drain line. Customer agreed to sign up for the annual maintenance plan. Customer approved repairs, we cleared the drain line and added drain solution to the primary and secondary drain line, and also installed an inline access port. The system is operating properly at this time.
Arrived in Elgin for AC Maintenance, Upon our arrival we spoke with the customer about their concerns with the HVAC system not cooling. Performing our diagnostics we found that the system had a communication fault between the indoor and outdoor units. We inspected both portions of the system and did not find anything wrong with the voltages coming in or the communication wires. We reset the system and put it into test mode. After running the system for 30 minutes we found no issues with the system at this time. Moving forward the son is going to monitor this and inform us if this happens again.
Arrived in Elgin for AC Tune-up, Upon our arrival we performed a 6 month checkup on one heat pump system. We cleared and treated the water removal system, washed the outdoor condenser coil with water, cleaned the electrical cabinet and treated it with electrical insecticide spray. While performing the evaluation we found the system to be low on refrigerant and dirty. After performing a leak search we found a leak on the indoor heat transfer media coil. Spoke with the customer over the phone and will be emailing over options for repairs.

Performing a diagnostics we found that the water removal system was clogged and the auxiliary float safety switch had failed. Spoke with the customer about the concerns and went over repair options. Customer approved HF3B and signed up for maintenance today. Performing the repair we cleared the water removal system, installed new float safety switch, stress tested the water removal system and added drain pan solvent. Flushed and treated the water removal system. Cleaned the electrical cabinet and washed unit using water. Found everything to be operating very well.
Arrived in Elgin for AC Maintenance, Today I arrived and met with Reed. C/s when he came home yesterday between 3-4 pm the indoor temperature was 81 and set for 72, he removed the air handler panel and shortly noticed it was frosting over. Not too sure if the outdoor unit was on or off at that time. Also mentioned that they attempted to turn it on later in the evening and it began frosting within 5 minutes. I investigated concerns, I found indoor system has a fixed metering device and a 4 ton straight cool outdoor, I checked pressures and found them to be high possibly overcharged however when comparing data to the chart on outdoor unit I found it was within range + - 15psi. With that being said I allowed system to operate in cooling mode for the duration of my visit checking pressures continually, pressures never reached freezing nor did it get close to HPCO
Arrived in Elgin for AC Repair, Today I verified concern and found the voltage enhancement system faulted. Presented options and customer approved bandaid at this time, she asked that I send over the remaining options for her husband to review and let her know she could upgrade the option if they chose to do so. Customer would also like the estimate emailed for our comfort maintenance plan. I replaced the voltage enhancement system and verified system operations.
Arrived in Elgin for AC Maintenance, Today arrived and customer explained the system drain pan is filling up and shutting unit off. I verified concern and found primary drain clogged. With approval I installed a basic access port and basic water safety device, thoroughly flushed the drain system, stress tested and went over repairs with client. Customer also signed up for maintenance plan today.
Arrived in Elgin for AC Tune-up, Installed a 3-zone Mitsubishi system in a renovated home. Routed line sets through attic, installed wall brackets for indoor units, and commissioned system with nitrogen pressure test and vacuum. System passed leak test and performs within manufacturer specs.
