Upon my arrival I performed a 6 month checkup on one heat pump system. I found that everything is operating properly in both the performance and safety aspects of the equipment.
Today Travis and I completed the previously sold repair work. We began by recovering remaining refrigerant. Removing and reinstalling new refrigerant pumping system, installed acid scavenger, installed new copper refrigerant lines with new insulation, reflared the indoor and outdoor connections and torqued to spec, pressure tested with dry nitrogen to a total of 580psi. After verifying system tight and leak free, we then began evacuation purging nitrogen 3 times, we followed manufacturers guidelines and verified system was tight and dry with a held decay rate of 700 microns. We then charged unit using R410a a total of 7.5lbs. Afterwards we tested and verified amperage of new motor and refrigerant cooling pressures. Upon departure we left system in cooling mode set for 75.

Upon my arrival, in Red Rock, for an AC evaluation, I performed a 6 month checkup on one heat pump system. During the evaluation I noticed the filters for the ERV need to be replaced and the indoor air handler has bacterial growth. Completing the evaluation I found everything to be operating properly in both the performance and safety aspects of the equipment. Went over options for chemical cleanings with the customer and they would like them emailed over.
Upon my arrival in Red Rock, for an air conditioning evaluation, performed a 6 month check up on a mini split system. I found everything to be operating properly in both the performance and safety aspects. Both indoor air movement systems are in need of a cleaning. Spoke with the customer about this again and they have other expenses they are dealing with at this time.
Upon my arrival an AC repair, in Red Rock, I spoke with the customer about their concerns with having a blank thermostat. I checked the auxiliary safety float switch and found it was tripped. When I checked the drain line it was not plugged. I pulled the drain line apart and did not find any reason anything blocking it on the inside. I removed the water from the float switch and tested the system. I checked the calibration on the thermostat because the customer stated it didn’t seem to be reading accurately. I made some adjustments to it while on site and we will check it again when we return for the walk through.
Upon my arrival in Red Rock, for an AC evaluation. I performed a 6 month checkup on 2 heat pump systems. I found that both systems are operating properly in both the performance and safety aspects of the equipment. During the evaluation I noticed the guest side system has some bacterial build up that I will email over cleanings for, the guest system needs a 14x14x1 filter in the bedroom and the main system needs the filter replaced at the base of the indoor system. Filter size is 20x20x4.5. The other filters for this system do not need to be installed with the system having a filter base in the attic.
Upon my arrival, in Red Rock, for an AC repair. I spoke with the customer about the air movement system not coming on. I performed a diagnostics and tested the the system several times. I found that some moments it would come on and operate then others it would try to come on but not actually start up. I could also hear a clunking sound when it would get itself started. I spoke with the customer about what it would take to get their system back up and going today. They chose to go with HC6A. I removed the faulted air movement system, installed the new one and tested the system. When i kicked in the electric heating I noticed a spark from one of the connections going to the heating elements. I shut the systems power back off and replaced all 3 wire terminals that go to each heating element. I then turned the systems power back on and tested it in both heating and cooling. I found that everything is operating properly at this time.

Upon my arrival in Red Rock, for an air conditioning evaluation, I performed a 6 month checkup on one heat pump system. During the evaluation I found the heat transfer media coil and the indoor are movement system to be dirty causing restriction. I also found that water removal system has fall going back into the indoor system and the inrush amps are higher then recommended on the outdoor system. I spoke with the customer about what I found today and she would like the estimates emailed over so she knows what to save towards. I informed her that certain options would allow me to renovate the water removal system and add a performance enhancement system to the outdoor unit. I also went over their renewal coming up and she said she will have to speak with her husband about it.
Upon my arrival in Red Rock, for AC maintenance, I spoke with the customer about their concerns in the HVAC system not coming on. I performed a diagnostics and found that the air movement system was not coming on. After speaking with tech support I found that the air movement system is faulted. Tech support highly recommends when this happens to replace the main control board as well. I spoke with the other son about my findings today, presented him with the options and went over our free consultations given the systems age. He asked that we email over the repair quotes to discuss with his mom and also set up a consultation for next week to go over replacement of the equipment. I briefly went over our maintenance program and also left a pamphlet for Solaris.
