Upon my arrival, in Giddings, for an AC repair, I spoke with the customer about their concerns with the outdoor system running and the indoor system not. I performed my diagnostics and found that the indoor air movement system is faulted. Parts house is closed so I will have to call in the morning to verify part availability. I will be ordering both the air movement system and main control board covered under full 10 yr P&L. Customer asked that the office call them tomorrow to renew their contract.
Upon my arrival in Giddings, for an AC evaluation, I performed a 6 month checkup on 2 furnace systems. I found that the aged equipment is operating properly in both the performance and safety aspects the best that it can. I spoke with the customer about our free consultations and financing options. She does believe they are looking to upgrade the equipment soon given its age and feels that it struggles to keep up when it’s cooling. I also went overt reasoning for performing a furnace check instead of the a cooling check up even though they won’t be using it anymore.
Upon my arrival in Giddings, for an AC evaluation, I performed a 6 month check up on one 2 stage furnace system. I found everything to be operating properly in both the performance and safety aspects of the equipment.
Today I arrived in Paige for a maintenance evaluation, and met with the home owner. I completed the fall evaluation of 3 hvac systems today. I began by verifying units are operating safely and performing well. While inside I flushed and treated indoor water removal systems. I changed out the iFLo Drain Solution for the downstairs south end unit. I also washed all outdoor units using water today. I had one maintenance concern today of the downstairs south unit that the outside voltage enhancement system is out of tolerance and should be replaced currently it is still operating. Upon departure left systems running auto mode following schedules.
Yesterday, I serviced a Lennox gas furnace. I cleaned the burners, replaced the air filter, and adjusted the thermostat. The homeowner reported the heat is now evenly distributed throughout the house.
Working in Giddings today, I repaired a malfunctioning central air conditioning unit. I checked the refrigerant levels, cleaned the condenser coils, and replaced the faulty blower motor. The Trane system is now operating efficiently again.
Upon my arrival in Giddings I found that the water removal system was clogged causing the float safety switch to trip and shut the system down. I spoke with the customer about his different options for repair and he chose to go with HF3E. I installed iFlo pro with 6 month drain pan solution, redid the thermostat wiring to make it more uniform, installed new SS1 & SS3 float switches, redid the drain line and added a vent after the p-trap. I tested the systems operations and set the iFlo pro up to find out that the iFlo was not getting external power and was only running off of battery power. I checked proper voltage coming to the iFlo and it had 26 volts being supplied to it. We will be returning to install and new head and verify it is working properly.
Completed the installation of a Carrier Infinity 24 Heat Pump (Model 25VNA4) in Giddings, TX. This high-efficiency system offers variable-speed operation for precise temperature control and reduced energy consumption. With its advanced Greenspeed Intelligence, the Infinity 24 ensures optimal heating and cooling throughout the year, providing the homeowner with enhanced comfort and significant energy savings.
I provided a free estimate for a new air conditioning installation at a residential property. After assessing the home’s square footage and insulation, I recommended an American Standard Silver Series 3-ton unit for optimal efficiency. I explained the installation process, including the replacement of the outdoor condenser, evaporator coil, and thermostat, and provided a detailed cost breakdown for the client’s consideration.
I repaired a malfunctioning air conditioner that was not cooling properly. After inspecting the unit, I discovered a failed capacitor in the outdoor condenser. I replaced the faulty capacitor with a new Titan HD 40/5 MFD capacitor. After securing the connections, I tested the system, confirmed proper operation, and verified that the unit was cooling the home effectively.
I performed an AC maintenance service on a residential unit. I started by inspecting the air filter, which needed replacement, so I installed a new 16x25x1 MERV 11 filter. Next, I checked the refrigerant levels with a manifold gauge and cleaned the evaporator coil using a foaming coil cleaner. Finally, I measured the temperature differential across the system to ensure it was cooling efficiently.
upon my arrival in Giddings I found that The water removal system was backed up tripping the float switch causing the thermostat to go blank. Customers son had wired in a Honeywell thermostat thinking there was an issue in the thermostat. I spoke with the customer about installing the original carrier edge thermostat back on the system to allow for the dehumidification and they chose to move forward with it and signed up on our maintenance. I blew the drain line out and put some drain pan treatment down the drain line and installed the original thermostat back to the system. Tested the system and found everything operating properly at this time. This is a heat pump attic system.
Diagnosed faulty electrical components in 4-ton split system in Giddings. Multimeter testing revealed blown 30-amp fuse and damaged contactor. Replaced fuse and installed new 40-amp contactor. Inspected wiring for signs of overheating or corrosion. Tightened all electrical connections and applied dielectric grease to prevent future oxidation. Verified proper voltage across terminals and measured amperage draw on compressor startup. System now operating within manufacturer specifications, restoring efficient cooling.
Today, I performed the annual air conditioning maintenance. I replaced the existing air filter with a new MERV 13 pleated filter to ensure proper airflow. Using a Fieldpiece SC660 clamp meter, I measured the amp draw on the compressor and condenser fan motors, confirming they were within the manufacturer's specified tolerances. The contactor contacts showed no excessive pitting or burning. I brushed the outdoor condenser coils clean of any debris. I checked the refrigerant charge using superheat and subcooling measurements, and it was at the proper level according to the unit's charging charts. All electrical connections were tightened, and the thermostat was verified for proper operation. The air conditioning system is now ready for efficient cooling performance throughout the upcoming season.
I fixed an AC unit that wasn't cooling right. I found the problem was a bad blower motor, so I replaced it with a new Genteq 1/3 HP motor. I also checked the refrigerant levels and added more to get it to the right amount. I also cleaned the condenser coils and replaced the air filter with a new MERV 11 filter. Now the AC unit is working great and cooling the place down. Regular maintenance is important to keep it running smoothly.
