I need the technician to call and advise what problem we have with our unit. This system is only 5 years old and we have problems?
Response from Centex Air & Heat:
Mr. Ard, My service tech met with Sherry. She told him to wait until Monday to call you.
The technician was very friendly and informative about the work being performed.
Today I arrived and met with the homeowner. I completed the evaluation today, began by verifying system safety and its performance. I then flushed and treated the indoor water removal system. While servicing the outdoor system I cleaned the electrical cabinet and washed the unit using water. As I was indoor I noticed the temperature differential was lower than average, this led me to watch pressures outside closely during operation. After about 20 minutes of run time I’ve observed a concern that indicates the main refrigerant pressure control valve is either under feeding or beginning to stick explaining why I had a lower temperature differential at indoor unit. I went over options with customer and he wants to go over them with his wife to make a decision on which repair option to move forward with.
Today I arrived and met with the homeowner. I completed the evaluation today, began by verifying system safety and its performance. I then flushed and treated the indoor water removal system. While servicing the outdoor system I cleaned the electrical cabinet and washed the unit using water. At this time I went over the new evaluation with sherry and expressed 2 concerns, 1~ that the main refrigerant pressure control valve is stuck over feeding the refrigerant system and 2~ the outdoor high voltage disconnect box connections are charred and pitted I recommend replacement of the box and the pressure control valve. Sherry asked that I send estimates to her husband for further review.
Today I arrived and met with the customers. I completed the fall evaluation today, I began by verifying systems operations in attic and verified it’s safely operating the auxiliary heating system. I also modified water removal system by adding a union I also flushed and treated the line today. Outside system has been washed using water, at the first start the exhaust removal system wouldn’t spin, I verified the voltage enhancement system has failed and that the refrigerant pumping system is consuming 122 LRA when it’s only rated for 108. Recommended having these concerns addressed, when speaking with David about what’s going on he asked that I just email him the estimates for him and his wife to look over. Upon departure left system operating in heating mode set to 74 currently reading 74 inside.
Today I arrived in Muldoon and met with the homeowner, I completed the fall HVAC evaluation of the homes HVAC. I evaluated both indoor and outdoor for performance and safety. I found unit is performing very well and completely safe. During evaluation I flushed and treated indoor water removal system, washed outdoor unit with water and treated electrical panel with electrical insecticide. Upon departure system is following cooling schedule set to 77 currently 76 indoors.
Today I arrived in Muldoon and met with the homeowners to do their fall heating evaluation of the HVAC system. I evaluated system for performance and safety, I verified all power to both indoor and outdoor units, verified performance and operations. System is completely operational and ready for heating season, today while onsite I flushed the indoor water removal system in attic, washed outdoor unit using water and treated outdoor electrical cabinet with electrical insecticide. I also replaced both air filters in home customer provided too me, they are both same size 12x30x1. Upon departure system is left following schedule in auto mode, cooling is set to 74 and currently 74 indoors.
Upon my arrival in Muldoon I spoke with the homeowner on what I would be doing on the maintenance today. I checked the wall control for any faults and found that the indoor unit lost communication once on the 5th of September. I took a deeper look into the control wiring on the air handler while performing the maintenance on it and found that everything was within manufacture specifications and there were no lose connections. I cleared the drain line and moved to the outdoor condensing unit. I found everything was operating within the manufacturer specifications and washed the coil off. Everything is operating within manufacturer specifications. I spoke with Juan about iFLO pro since I had noticed some zooglea in the water removal system. He is going to think about it and get back with us if he wants to move forward with it. I will follow up with him after the weekend to see if I can answer and questions or concerns he may have.
Upon my arrival in Muldoon I spoke with the homeowner about the work that is going to be performed today and verified access in and out of the home. I then proceeded to start to perform the repair. We recovered all of the refrigerant from the system, removed the faulted refrigerant pressure control, flushed the line set with RX11, installed the new refrigerant pressure control, purged the system with nitrogen while brazing, installed new inline filter dryer then pressure tested the system with nitrogen to verify no leaks. Once the pressure test passed we evacuated the nitrogen and put the system into a vacuum. While the system was coming down to the proper vacuum. While the system was going to vacuum we installed a new voltage enhancement system, voltage distribution system and redid all wire terminals. Added me Armaflex to the suction line at the outdoor condenser. Once the system came down to a proper vacuum and passed the DK test we added new refrigerant to the system.
Upon my arrival in Muldoon I found that the refrigerant pressure control was not metering properly. I spoke with the customer about his different options for repair and he chose to go with HI2E. Will need to schedule a time to return for 2 techs 4/5 hours. Customer would like to have window units if the repair is going to be later then this coming Friday. He has 2 systems one is a Goodman and the other is a York both in the attic. The system that is not operating properly is the York system. Spoke with customer about our maintenance program and he is going to pass on it due to the fact that he may be going into assisted living soon.
Upon my arrival in Muldoon I found that the thermostat was faulted not sending 24 volts for the indoor air movement system to come on. Spoke with the customer about the different options for repair and he chose HH5A. Installed the new T6pro thermostat and tested the system. Found everything operating properly at this time. Upon my arrival performed a cooling evaluation found that system is low, did a quick refrigerate leak check while doing evaluation found no leak, let customer know of findings he wanted it recharged and a note for next evaluation to check refrigerant levels again. Added 1 pound of refrigerant to the system. Left equipment running at this time. place make note for next evaluation to look for tech to look at pressures and possible leak.

Upon my arrival performed a cooling evaluation found that system is working good at this time. Found no issues at this time.
Performed the heating evaluation and found everything to be operating properly at this time. During the evaluation I found the the surge protection on the outdoor unit was faulted. I installed a new one under the 1 year warranty.
Perform the heating evaluation and found everything to be operating properly at this time. Customer had a lot of questions about the blower motor fault. I rechecked everything and made sure everything was getting the proper amperage and voltage into it and from it. Spoke with tech-support and they told me to double check all the pins on the connections and the ground on the system and to see if there was any white specs indicating moisture buildup. All of that will be getting with tech-support again about some of the specs. I did fine on the motor and in the cabinet as well, customer also had questions about his thermostat as to when he closes his doors. Does it take forever for the thermostat to satisfy itself but when the doors are open, it satisfies itself quickly and that the master bedroom gets extremely cold whenever these doors are shut. The master bedroom has its own return air duct. I told him I was going to get with Daryl more on it and see what we could come up with as to wh
Performed heating evaluation, found all components running and operating properly at this time.
