Today I arrived and met with Mr and Mrs Isom. I verified the concern of error code 83-56, also found error 83-16. I began checking outdoor compressor vfd connections and verified tight connections. I checked resistance and found inconsistencies, manufacturer states at 36k BTU it should read about .45. I couldn’t believe it my big blue eyes were looking at 130 ohms I just had to tear this unit apart to inspect and find some answers. Anywho, I climbed inside unit and removed compressor plug to find it was totally burnt. The internal pins were corroded and charred, the compressor terminals themselves were corroded as well, my resistance values straight off the terminals read .48/.47/.46 that all looks good to me. I called Russel and left him a beautiful little 3 minute voicemail with all data, I questioned his advise on continuing with just a harness/or replace both harness and compressor.
