Upon my arrival I spoke with the customer about their concerns with the system not cooling well. Performing my diagnostics on the older R 22 system. I found the heat transfer media coil to be extremely restricted. Due to the high restriction on the heat transfer media coil. It is causing the indoor unit to freeze over and not allow good airflow throughout the home. I spoke with the customer about my recommendations and highly advised against any repairs given the systems age in the extent of the restriction on the system. Customer would like a comfort specialist to come out and quote a system replacement. As long as a down payment is received today we will be able to bring them some window units to cool in the meantime until we return to perform the replacement.
