Heat Pump Installation: The homeowner requested the removal of their existing natural gas furnace and the installation of a heat pump system. Serviced a 2024 Bryant AC unit (16-25-1 series). Cleaned the outdoor condenser coil to improve heat transfer. Added a missing tab. Verified capacitor readings at 40/5 MFD (rated 40/5 MFD). Updated system information sticker. Confirmed all electrical connections were secure for safe operation.
Serviced a 2014 Goodman air conditioning unit. Verified the capacitor was operating at its rated 45/5 MFD. The outdoor condenser coil was cleaned to enhance heat transfer efficiency. The existing filter was replaced with a new 20x25x1 filter to improve airflow and air quality. A missing tab was added to secure a component. The system information sticker was updated.
The customer scheduled a furnace tune-up to ensure their system was ready for the colder months. During the inspection, I discovered that the burner assembly had some minor debris buildup, and the pilot light was flickering, which could cause inefficient heating. I cleaned the burner components, adjusted the pilot light, checked the thermostat calibration, and ensured the furnace's airflow was unobstructed. After completing the tune-up, the furnace was running smoothly, providing efficient heating and helping the customer avoid potential breakdowns during the winter season.
The customer scheduled an AC maintenance visit to ensure their system was ready for the warmer months. During the inspection, I found the air filter was heavily clogged with dust and debris, which was restricting airflow and putting strain on the unit. I carefully removed and cleaned the reusable filter, checked the system for any additional issues, and verified that all components were operating correctly. After cleaning the filter and testing the system, airflow was restored, and the unit is now running efficiently and effectively.
