Called out today due to no cooling. Upon arrival system was running but intermittently cooling. Found float switch tripped and a heavily impacted drain pan/coil. Gave options for coil cleanings, capacitor replacement, membership, and drain treatment. Client decided to enroll in our preventative maintenance plan and a drain solve treatment. I checked all electronics and motor components to ensure equipment is operating properly within manufacture specifications. Filter is clean. Evaporator coil needs to be pulled and cleaned. There is a lot of biological growth within the air handler. The blower motor capacitor has failed due to manufacture specifications. Measured the temperature drop across the coil. Checked refrigerant pressures. Performed a drain solve treatment. Allowed chemical to sit for 20 minutes and then flushed four gallons of hot water. Vacuumed clear from outdoor port.
