Arrived at customer's house for system inspection. On arrival customer showed me to airhandler systems. Both systems had bio growth in them. System from '04 has alot of buo growth on the fan as well. Suggesting IAQ on both and Suggesting a pull and clean on the blower from the '04 unit. Next went to condensers. Found the old condenser to be low on freon. Capacitors are of acceptable range. Contactors were sending proper voltage. Told customer and customer approved work. Added 2 lbs of freon and unit now running fine. Pressures and readings are all of acceptable range. Collected payment and signature and left. Customer happy
Arrived at customer's house for Douglas split cleaning. On arrival customer showed Me Too! Douglas split head. This assembled and began to clean Douglas split. Talk to the customer about UV light and customer decided he would like UV light. Finish cleaning and customer was very pleased with work performed. Unit now runs fine. Returning tomorrow if possible to install UV light and check other 2 air handler units for tune up. Any time after 2 would be best for customer. Collected signatures and explain the customer if he chose to not go with UV light he would be billed for the cleaning today Is installed UV light. Light and system both operating. Customer happy.
Arrived at customer's house for Mini split not pushing air efficiently. On arrival customer showed me to Mini split unit. Checked underneath and fan blade was completely covered with biographs. With bio growth. Talk to customer about cleaning and customer agreed to schedule a cleaning. Also talked to the customer about UV light and customer will consider. Would like to schedule Monday around 1 PM. Would like a call Monday morning to schedule. Would like me as technician to perform work. Collected payment and signature for today's work and left. Customer happy.
Customer concerned about unit not cooling properly. Located error code ch35. Diagnostic (CH35) low Freon pressure. Checked unit operation and condenser refrigerant levels. Unit are 2 months old. Checked condenser operation and reset power on disconnect. Checked air handler unit and set for cooling. Checked refrigerant levels and unit operation. Unit refrigerant is good and unit started up and cooling. No errors at this time. Possible glitch. Show customer how to properly reset high voltage to reset if error persist again. Suggest new safety surge arrest protector for outside condenser unit.
Complete no cool call. Upon diagnosis I found the condenser breaker was tripped. After a reset of the breaker and checking for proper voltage the system is in operational condition now. I also offered the customer a surge protector to prevent any equipment failure due to surges. Customer accepted and the work is complete. Customer satisfied!
Arrived at customers house for system check. On a rival customer showed me to air handler in closet. Customer initially expressed me concerns about dust getting to evaporator coil. Took off filter and inspected face of evaporator coil and evaporator coil did have some coverage on it. Customer asked if I could clean off a bed. Took brush and got as much solid material out of evaporator coil as I could. Customer was pleased. Next I check Delta T and delta T was of satisfactory range. Blower wheel also had some dust on it. Suggested electronic filter to customer. Customer would like estimate sent. Next time I upstairs to the condenser. Outside air condenser clearly look aged. Hooked up gauges and system was showing acceptable pressures and readings. Capacitor was within acceptable range. Contactor was sending proper voltage. Unit was over a on Startup. Brought this to customers attention and suggested a hard start kit. Customer agreed to have hard start kit install. After installing hard
Arrived at customers house for system Check. On arrival customer showed me to air handler in hallway. Open cabinet doors inspected inside. Sawdust on blower wheel, and electric cabinet. Under the evaporator coil with beginning to have hair lint and dust coverage towards the top. Suggested an In-Place cleaning with the customer. Turn on unit. Unit was giving out proper delta-t. Next went outside to condenser. Hooked up gauges and all pressures and readings were of satisfactory range. Opened up electric portion and capacitor was of acceptable range. Contactor had proper voltage sending through. Unit was over a on start up. Brought this to customers attention and suggested a hard start kit. Customer agreed and had me install it. Unit now starting off much smoother. Next customer had me go in attic and check out ductwork. Found 4 by 8 crushing duct to Kitchen. Customer is not getting adequate are to back bedroom. Currently a six inch flex that he would like upgraded to an eighth and would
12 point Seal all flex connections. Mastic seal all flex connections.
Mini split cleanings. Clean and sanitize air handler mini split.
Maintenance 2 Checked all system electrical components. All electrical within factory spec. System was showing low pressures due to a clogged filter. Pressures returned to correct levels after filter was removed. Found bio growth starting to grow in air Handler. I am recommending a pure x UV light system with and included cleaning of growth. This will remove and prevent any further growth. I am also recommending a surge protector for condenser unit as it is unprotected at this time. Cleared drain line to condensate pump. Cycled condensate pump to insure its proper operation. Homeowner will be returning to the area later this year and will contact us if he would like to move forward with the system cleaning and improvements. Left system draining and operating properly at this time.
Not cooling due to being off on float caused by clogged drain line and internal primary drain pan. Cleared drain line and internal pan. Flushed and cycled through condensate pump multiple times. System cooling properly at this time.
Tune up 2. Checked volts amps and mechanical on both systems. Found dual cap on fan side for upstairs unit weak. Also found growth in air Handler. Custimer approved new capacitor and Pure air UV system installation. Reviewed both components warranties and bulb replacement schedule. Customer also renewed TAPS maintenance program. Left systems in good working order.
Clear drain line and condensate unit condensate drain penetrates wall but could not locate where it terminates. Recommended replacement of unit and at that time transition from condensate drain to condensation pump. This unit is operational at this time
Upon arrival checked motors. electrical components, and pressures. Cleared drain line and added Nubrite to system. DeltaT had 20 degree split. Drain line missing cap so replaced from kit 1. When I first walked up customer mentioned she hasn't been home for couple days and Tstat just went blank. First I reset breakers for AH and CU. Unit came back on after delay and I continued tune up. I replaced failing capacitor with Turbo 200 and signed customer up for TAPS. DURING INSTALLATION OF CAP AND START UP THE TSTAT WENT BLANK AGAIN SND IMMEDIATELY I KNEW IT WAS FLOAT SWITCH AND INVESTIGATED FURTHER. Started raining hard outside making it difficult to go to CU. I "broke red" and unit came back on and system started to cool. I continued maintenanceing a overheated common wire connected to capacitor and replaced. Also, the disconnect box had broken prong on right side causing issues of electrical flow. I screwed prong back in, yet customer not interested in adding $$$ to in
Customer would like quote for supply and return plenum rebuild. And a quote for just the supply plenum, it will definitely be a tough install of the plenum considering it has to make a bend and be pieced in because their is a truss in the way of making it be a perfect square. The old supply plenum has become saturated with water and a new one will need to be put in to prevent any more condensation build up behind the unit.
