Perform a leak search on System A which is the main system for the house. Added 2 pounds of refrigerant to increase pressures and performed leak search on the indoor coil was giving a few readings on high side with the electronic leak detector but couldn’t pin point it with the low side, checked outside coil and components and didn’t get any readings, noticed coil deteriorating and accumulator is rusting at the bottom, went in the attic and checked the line set with the leak detector all the way to the corner of the house and didn’t get any readings, quoted to add Leak seal and 3 pounds of refrigerant as a band aid and hope it holds, did not charge for the 2 pounds of refrigerant I put in initially to perform the leak search, System is topped off at this time, if it continues to leak than due to conditions of the system rusting and having problems homeowner might move forward with a new system.
