Upon my arrival I found that the fuse was blown and the indoor air handler. Put my fuse popper in and tested the system and it blew. Removed 24 volts going to the outdoor unit and tried again and the system stayed running. After a series of diagnostics on the out door system I found that the voltage distribution system was faulted. I spoke with the customer about repair and they chose HD3A. I replaced the faulted part and tested the system I found. It to be 3lbs low on R410A. Charged the system to the proper pressures and recommended the client consider having a comfort specialist come out to quote a new system because leaks only get bigger. They agreed to have a comfort specialist come out and give a quote on a new system. They are leaving out of town for vacation today and won’t be back until Sunday. She would the call sometime next week to set up the consultation. Customer also signed up on our maintenance program.
