Upon arrival, the reported issue was that the AC system would not turn on. During troubleshooting, I discovered that the 24V fuse at the indoor unit had blown. Additionally, I found that the low-voltage wire at the condenser was damaged — it had been cut and was making contact with the copper tubing. I presented repair options to address these issues. The selected option included replacing the damaged low-voltage wire at the condenser and installing a new outdoor contactor. After completing the repairs, I powered up the system and allowed it to run for over 15 minutes. Upon checking, I observed that system pressures were lower than normal. I received approval to add refrigerant (R-410A) and leak detection dye. I added 3.5 lbs of R-410A and 0.5 oz of dye solution to the system. I informed Chris and Sandy that our office will follow up to schedule a return visit for a full leak search.
