Performed a/c tune-up on a Carrier straight cool system. Checked the electrical, mechanical and performance systems of the unit. Cleared, cleaned, flushed and treated the drain line and cleaned the exterior of the furnace. Verified outdoor compressor wiring is secure and washed the outdoor coil. I did find the outdoor fan motor is leaking oil and and the starter is pitted at the contacts. I called the homeowner and presented repair options. She chose to have the outdoor fan motor and starter replaced. I replaced both components and cycled power at the thermostat. No other major issues were found. The system is operational at this time.
