Customer called the cell because there was a buzzing noise coming from his damper in his ductwork. Upon arrival, the buzzing noise had gone away because the customer had climbed up on a ladder and pushed the reset button on the damper and that stopped it from doing anything further. I tried to locate a zone control board only to find out that their house is naturally zoned because there’s one unit that controls the upstairs and one unit that controls the downstairs and they’re on separate thermostats that don’t communicate with each other. The zone dampers in and of themselves were a confusing thing to come across considering their set up. Customer Said to leave the system as it was. I told the customer that if he put maybe one of his systems into heat mode when they were respectively, both in cooling mode that perhaps the zoning board got triggered if one thermostat is calling for one temperature and the other is calling for a different one that it might have actuated The damper.
