Luis was very knowledgeable and good at his work. He was here and gone in an hour. Drained my clogged line which was backed up to the floater which caused my AC unit to shut down as a safety feature. Today we bypassed the main damper to cool. The main part of the house added Clorox tab for backing up drain line. Customer customer wanted to change thermostats, but the boxes they came in, looked taped and decided against it.
This is the most basic equipment available for purchase today. It uses a single speed compressor and a single speed indoor fan. This unit is the least expensive to initially purchase and install.
Trying to clean up the financing and lock it down for Mary-Ann, still ran into some Roblox. I’m going to have to figure it out on Monday.

Customer wanted me to come check on a potential leak in the system. She said she had odors of mildew, however, no leak was detected. Recommended installing and I waive or replacing the duct system as ductwork was not replaced with system replacement back in September 2023.
Coil in garage is confirmed to be leaking with dye check. Replace coil
Today we visited to evaluate the ductwork in Cindy’s dad’s (Fred) home. Fred noticed the air and heat work on one side of the home but not the other. James found major ductwork damage. The supply runs and return trunk line are ripped into from what looks to be from an animal. Access under the home is only 11”. The AC unit is new, but there isn’t a duct cover behind the AC and this looks to be where an animal has been coming in and out. The ductwork under the home will need to be replaced. The replacement information was emailed to Cindy.
Need to call the customer Monday to collect payment on the maintenance wants to do the whole amount not monthly and collect 150 on Freon plus
Customer has had multiple r410 leaks, we suspect leak is in line set. Put dye in system. We will find out where the leak is at.
Upon arrival unit was low in Freon charge 410A. After charge unit start cooling TD 13.7 i did leak search I couldn’t find it. I pass to James to come and give other options to customer.
Call back August 5 we replace drain line home owner didn’t want to pay because we recently done new drain he want to speak with the supervisor. Shop vacuum drain line added drain solve.
Today we visited to determine why the home gets so much dust. We learned the ductwork should be replaced. There are three styles of ductwork in the home. The trunklines are fiberboard, the individual runs are metal, and there is flex duct from the air handler to the trunklines. The fiberboard ductwork is leaking in several places and when touched shows clear degradation. A few of the supply vents have mold/mildew growth with the vents closest to the air handler being worse. I let Paul know the complete replacement will cost roughly $12-$15k. He will give us a call back when he decides to address the ductwork because he’s considering selling the home. When Paul calls back we can arrange for James to visit and complete the home drawing to provide the exact cost of the installation.
