Customer was not requesting a call back. He was trying to get a hold of me so that he could tell me what FEMA told him when he called in.
Customer called us out today because the system was not working. Upon investigation, Troy found that whoever installed the breaker on the main panel didn’t secure it enough and had come loose. Once the breaker was reattached, everything turned on observed a 20° split and everything was as normal. Did not charge the customer Because it is a newly installed unit within its first year and the fix should’ve been Checked when we installed
Customer has a plug-in window unit that he wanted us to service. We don’t service this type of air conditioner, so I didn’t charge him anything for coming out.
Customer called us out because the air conditioning was powered off. Customer had informed me that they had changed the thermostat without cutting power so the fuse had blown in the air handler. Troy came out and replaced the fuse and everything worked as it should also iterated to the new owners our membership program and they said they would call into the office to arrange Future service
Upon arrival i tested equipment to see if there was issues occurring Found contractor was short cycling power every time it engaged Replaced contactor and tested operation Found thermostat was calling for cool but no voltage was coming out Replaced thermostat then tested everything Unit is back online and cooling as should
Customer called us out today to get us an estimate on a new AC unit. Customer is going through FEMA for financing the project. Customer needed a air-conditioning bid to submit and will be getting back to us early next week.
Customer called us out because the air handler was not coming online or the compressor. Upon investigation, Troy found that the electric signal was being robbed by the thermostat, we recycle power disconnected a few items to rule them out such as the transformer, the surge protector, and the float switch, respectively Nothing seemed to change until Troy hardwired the green yellow and red wires wire nut at the thermostat then everything turned on which ruled out the motor being bad and the board being bad. After taking it out of being hardwired and putting the thermostat back on, everything turned on and was functioning normally.
Condensate pump replacement
Removal and replacement of inside evaporator coil
Customer had us out because she said her drain line was slow. Upon investigation, Troy found that the condensate pump is broken and it is no longer ejecting the condensate. It’s also not sealed properly because if it was, then it would backflow into the float switch and shut the machine off instead it overflowed the garage that it’s in suggested that we replace the condensate pump and the customer agreed.
Customer called us out because the compressor was not turning on. Upon investigation, Troy found that the capacitor was not producing enough ferrets to kick the Herm on. We replaced the capacitor and the compressor turned on and we were getting 49° coming out out of the vents
Customer called us out because their machine was not cooling properly. Upon investigation, Troy found that the evaporator coil had sprung a leak. Advised customer about the age of the system and the cost of the coil being a bit of a gray area. Explain to customer that replacing the coil could get her a little bit of life considering the brand it is a Train 18 seer Multi stage unit so I left the decision up to her and her husband. Expecting to hear back from them today on how they’d like to proceed
Customer called us out because they were getting a very loud noise from their condenser motor and we’re curious about it. Upon investigation, Troy found that the motors borrow bearings are starting to go and that’s what’s creating the noise. We just installed this unit so it’s very disappointing to the customer we put in for a new factory motor for the condenser And the customer signed off on that. It is covered under gap warranty as we just installed this unit about five weeks ago.
Customer had us out again because the return Plenum has moisture buildup that is on the outside of it and there’s water that drips down. Put investigation Troy found that the inside of the return Plenum is bone dry so the moisture is not coming from inside the unit, it is building up on the exterior of the Return Plenum. Upon further investigation, there were a few holes a few rips, but more significant was the type of filter that they’re using is a high grade pet dander allergen filter, which is quite thick. I told the customer to get filters that are a little less of a Merv rating And to see if that makes a difference.
Customer called the cell because there was a buzzing noise coming from his damper in his ductwork. Upon arrival, the buzzing noise had gone away because the customer had climbed up on a ladder and pushed the reset button on the damper and that stopped it from doing anything further. I tried to locate a zone control board only to find out that their house is naturally zoned because there’s one unit that controls the upstairs and one unit that controls the downstairs and they’re on separate thermostats that don’t communicate with each other. The zone dampers in and of themselves were a confusing thing to come across considering their set up. Customer Said to leave the system as it was. I told the customer that if he put maybe one of his systems into heat mode when they were respectively, both in cooling mode that perhaps the zoning board got triggered if one thermostat is calling for one temperature and the other is calling for a different one that it might have actuated The damper.
