Brennan G Todays visit was for the ac not cooling. Upon arrival preformed diagnosis and inspection. Found that the immediate issue was a clogged drain and triggered float sensor. Also discovered that the compressors capacitor was weak and the compressor was reading bad on the megohmeter test. Gave multiple repair options but advised system replacement was the best option due to the current systems age and lack of manufacture warranty. Elaine agreed and we scheduled for the system to be replaced tomorrow. Cleared the drain line so system can operate until we come put and replace the system Funded through synchrony 115Months 7.99%
This was a gas and go 2lbs of 410a homeowner wanting to replace the system soon but not at this time homeowner aware there is no warranty on Freon and if it leaks out fast time to replace the system out of warranty system Repair Option
Today we visited because the air conditioning is not working. We learned the compressor is the issue. The unit uses R-22 refrigerant, which is now phased out, and the inside unit has a severe mold/mildew issue. The ductwork has mold/mildew growth and seems to be original to the home. Also, there is a vent completely void of ductwork that is open to the attic. Since the system requires thousands of dollars in repairs and uses R-22 Freon, the system will need to be replaced. **This is a rental property owned by Edward and Kimberly Zerka, we will need homeowner authorization before a replacement can be made.
This was a phone call appointment to discuss installing a ductless mini-split in the finished patio/bedroom. The electrical has already been installed.
Brennan G Todays visit was for the ac not cooling. Found the condenser and air handler were not communicating, likely due to a bad wire. Before arrival , client had ran a new wire from the air handler to the condenser but did not connect them to the equipment. Used new wire for the comm between inside and outside equipment and is now operating normally. Cycled equipment multiple times to ensure correct operation. Found condenser reading code 04 for locked rotor, installed compressor start assist to lower compressor start amps and keep this code from appearing. System is cooling and draining normally at this time
