Came out to perform preventative maintenance on 2 furnaces. Inspected filters and changed downstairs filters out. Cleaned flame sensor and brushed dust off the components. I inspected the blower assemblies, electrical components, heat exchangers, flame sensors, ignitor, burners, evaporator coils, heating drains, and overall condition and operation of equipment. Checked and tested thermostat operation, wiring, safety switches, pressure switches, amps, temperature rise and gas pressure. Downstairs inducer motor is making noise. The amps are a little close to max amps (3.4/3.7) and continued to stay around 3.2-3.4 throughout the duration that the heater was on. It’s reading within proper amp range, but I recommend replacing the inducer motor before it fails. Overall both systems are heating properly within manufactured specifications at this time.
