I arrived to find the air handler to be completely froze over with no fast way to melt the large amount of ice due to it being air handler. I informed the homeowner we will need to to be melted off before I can see why the system froze over. I am scheduled to come back this afternoon to see if the system is defrosted to see if I can work on it today or tomorrow. 14AUG2023 Jason Brown Arrived for new customer no cool. Spoke with homeowners about the systems performance. Your guy was just out here and it was frozen we’ve thawed it now. Inspected equipment found coil clean but low on refrigerant. While hooking up gauges I found a leak at the true suction port. System’s muffler has been rubbing the copper where it turns and caused a leak. Went over repair and replacement options we decided to repair. Recover refrigerant. Braze hole with nitrogen flow. Pressure test system then pull vacuum below 500 microns. Vacuum decay rose to 750 microns. Weigh in 11 pounds of 410a and cycle equipment.
