Sam J - arrived to Blue Shield customers spring tuneup on an upflow furnace in the upstairs closet. Spoke with homeowner and he explained that the system had been used already, and was operating properly, no hot or cold spots. Tested system operation from the thermostat while changing the filter which was a 14 x 25 x 1. Shut the disconnect off to the outdoor unit and clean condenser coil with water then re-powered in allowed it to run and dry the coil while I serviced the furnace. Pulled the cover and checked the evaporator coil and supply plenum, both in good shape. Assembled system, then check the amperage of the blower motor, which was within range. Moved to outdoor system and check the amperage of the compressor and fan motor during operation then attached my temperature probes to both lines and checked refrigerant pressures.
