Came out to call for a system running on heat constantly, even when the thermostat is shut off. I checked the system over and found that the sequencer we had replaced earlier today was wired up incorrectly. System is set up to run 10k heat strips if needed, but is only needing 5k for the sqft it covers. Found the w2 wire that’s jumpered to R on the wrong terminal, causing a completed circuit with common, thus initiating the sequencing for heat even when it’s not called for. Moved wire and cycled heat and cool to verify unit is operating properly.
