Jake K. I arrived for a new customer no heat call. I spoke with the homeowner and found that the system has stopped working over night. He showed me the location of the system and that he has had some troubles with the system and he had hit the gas valve to get it working again. I inspected the system and found that the gas valve was getting 24V but the valve was not opening to let the system heat. I recommended to replace the valve and to see how the system is running after the new part. The homeowner agreed to the part replacement. I replaced the part and cycled the system on. I found the system to come on properly and I get the gas pressure to 3.56 IWC. I cycled the system two times and left the system running per the homeowners thermostat settings. The gas valve will have a one year parts and labor warranty on the part.
