Came out to call for a system not heating properly. Tenant stated that the system isn’t reaching thermostat temperature that it’s set to. I checked the system over and found a few things. The filter was dirty and the system is short on return ductwork, so it’s restricted on airflow and a dirty filter makes it worse. Secondly, the evaporator coil was clogged with dust/debris and the blower wheel is as well. Lastly the blower speed was set too low as well. Got approval to clean the equipment, so I cleaned the evaporator coil in place. I then pulled the blower assembly out and cleaned it. Reinstalled blower assembly and put system back together. Changed the 14x24 filter inside home and changed blower speed to med hi. This successfully allowed the system and blower to move/circulate more air and help heat the home more efficiently. System is now heating properly.
