Came out to service call for a system not cooling properly. AC unit is a Goodman from the early 90’s, while the furnace and evaporator coil are from 2011. Customer is aware the system has a leak, but just wants to charge the unit with refrigerant for now until they can replace it this year. Checked system pressures and did find it low on refrigerant. Added 2lbs to get system to a 9 degrees superheat per recommended specs. Discussed with customer about replacement options and recommendations. Customer will send in information to their tribe to see what they will cover and get back to us about replacement.
