Came out to service call for a system not cooling properly. Customer stated that the AC wasn’t cooling properly. He changed out the capacitor but that didn’t help the system. I checked the system over and found the unit low on refrigerant. Customer hasn’t had much of an issue with the unit, and it’s been running well until recently. Went over repair options and customer just wanted to charge system for now. Customer is aware there is a leak in the system but didn’t want to spend a lot of money up front just yet. I cant guarantee how long the refrigerant will last in the system before it becomes low again. Customer wanted to still charge it and if it needs more refrigerant before summers over he said we’ll discuss options then. I charge d the system with 3.2lbs of 410a to get proper superheat charge of 28 degrees. Unit is now cooling properly. Customer will call if he has any issues.
