Installed a 22k BTU Rinnai direct-vent wall heater in Apartment #3 in the living room. Ran new 5/8” and 1/2” copper gas lines from the meter to the Rinnai and tied into the existing water heater gas line. During our leak check we found a gas leak, so we shut off the water heater gas line and the new piping passed the leak check. We did not have time to investigate the source of the leak. Mr. Walthour said he will contact his gas company, and will let us know if he needs our assistance. Leak-checked the new gas line to the Rinnai at 8.5 in/wc for 3 minutes—no leaks present. Checked carbon monoxide levels—no issues found. Verified operation and the system is functioning properly at this time. Removed old gas line and old heater and sealed the wall penetrations with silicone caulking.
