Installed customer-supplied water trough to replace the existing failed unit. Preassembled outdoor trough components including float, supply line, and shutoff valve. Removed the original trough and disconnected the electrical heating element. Set the new trough in the existing location, secured it to blocking, connected the water supply, and added additional blocking to properly level and stabilize the unit. Turned water on, adjusted fill valve for correct water level, and confirmed there were no leaks in the work performed. Due to the unit being installed outdoors without a heating element, no warranty is offered on this installation because of potential freezing conditions.
