Lavatory Pop-Up Assembly Replacement – Upstairs Bathroom: The lavatory pop-up assembly was found to be heavily corroded around the drain base and cap. We recommended replacement to ensure a proper seal, prevent leaks, and restore reliable drainage. Water was shut off and the drainage disconnected, then the pedestal top was removed to complete the repair. The existing pop-up was removed and surfaces were cleaned thoroughly. A new pop-up assembly was installed using plumber’s putty and thread sealant, and fittings were tightened securely. The trap was partially pre-assembled due to limited space, and the pedestal top was reset with new wall anchors and a bead of caulk at the base. The p-trap was reassembled and new braided supply lines were installed. The system was tested with water on, confirming proper operation with no leaks present at this time.
