04/03/24 - No Cool Completely drained capacitor on compressor (overworked, aged compressor that is pulling high amp draws Draining the starting components of the compressor). I removed & replaced the failed capacitor & added a hard start kit to kickstart the compressor on start up. This is a bandage repair to get the system up & running. After the repair I verified the compressor starting & running amps. Running amps are high for the compressor & the refrigerant pressures were within specs. Karen stated that the system had been re charged with R-410a before…. Recommend replacing the aged equipment before costly repairs.
