Job Checkin

Reason for today’s visit with the customer was a tripping GFCI. Upon inspection the customer informed me that previously that the Smoker would run normally but it has gotten shorter and shorter before tripping the GFCI. The customer informed me that her husband had replaced the GFCI. When I inspected the new GFCI it was a new legrande in place with decent connections. The GFCI never nuisance tripped or tripped due to rain. The only time it would trip was when the smoker was plugged in. I noticed there was an extension cord it was plugged into. Upon unplugging the smoker from the extension cord water dripped out and the end of the smoker plug has started to corrode. When I plugged the smoker straight into the receptacle it would still trip the GFCI after running shortly. I grabbed my battery charger and plugged it into the circuit and the GFCI never tripped. I believe at this time the Smoker has a fault in it due to having a corroded plug and being in the weather for five years straight
