The service was excellent. Alex was professional and curious to my house and myself. The quality of work was top notch. I highly recommend Haas & Sons to anyone needing electrical work done. Personally I will continue to use them for our household needs.
Remove and replace 3rd floor bath fan using a company supplied fan. Repair outlet in living room that is not secured to wall. Repair bathroom outlet that has no power, 3rd floor bath. Replaced cracked outlet and power was restored to other receptacle. Verified proper operation of all completed work.
Removed kitchen LED surface mounted light and installed a new light box and re-installed original LED light back up. While installing the new lighting junction box we checked for access for running wires for more lights in condo unit.
We have begun to correct the aluminum wiring in the home. We shall return Monday to continue. With the exception of remaining light fixtures we have installed proper aluminum to copper connections at all device locations. We shall return tomorrow and replace panel and ensure proper connections at remaining light fixtures. We have completed the aluminum wire corrections and have installed a new Panel.
We have installed new smoke and carbon detectors, 6 total. In addition we have replaced a damaged 3way switch in the kitchen. Lastly we have replaced the master bathroom switch in toilet area. We shall return Thursday to install new attic fan motor and thermostat. We shall also install the remaining smoke/carbon unit. We have returned and installed the attic fan motor and thermostat. In addition we have installed the final combo smoke alarm in the basement area.
Kitchen recess lights were non operational. There was a fault inside the 2 gang where the lights were controlled that was causing the lights not to get power. Fixed the fault and replaced a bad switch and restored power to the lights. Also removed 3 light bulb bases that were stuck in place, 1 in stairwell, 1 in kitchen and the last one in basement recess. Verified proper operation of all completed work with customer. Also provided quotes for ceiling fans and a surge protector.
Installed customer supplied GFCI devices in both upstairs bathrooms, powder room and washer in place of standard duplex outlets. Replaced standard outlets on front and back of home with Haas and sons supplied weatherproof GFCIâ€™s and new weatherproof covers. We removed living room light and installed it in place of the original dinning room light and installed a new customer supplied light in the living room ceiling. Checked power to the basement wine fridge and the issue is within the fridge itself, not the power to it.
Add a new circuit for the sump pump under the panel. Pump is currently plugged into the home gfci circuit. Add a smart switch in basement and a wireless switch to control lighting from interior basement door. Installed a new 20 amp circuit for sump pump in panel room powered with a afci breaker and a audible gfci. Also installed a Casetta wireless switch in basement room with walkout to add a wireless remote to control the switch from the interior door. Verified proper operation of all completed work.
Replaced outlet/switch combo unit to the right of the sink with a GFCI/switch combo and repaired all the splices in the box. Removed redundant GFCI to the left of the sink and installed standard device. Repaired wire running down to the dishwasher outlet. Installed new exterior outlet on back of home directly behind outlet on the opposite side.
We have installed a new multi tap low voltage transformer in the basement utility area to control the new doorbell security system. In addition we have replaced all switches associated with this lighting circuit, same as transformer circuit, corrected all double tapped neutral wires in the main service panel and have installed a new ARC-Fault breaker. Single pole 15A QO type.
Customers outdoor receptacle circuit was non operational. There was two faults in the circuit causing all devices to not have power. Faults were most likely caused by bad seals on receptacle covers. Removed all 3 outdoor receptacles and installed new weather resistant devices and in use covers. The front plug is protected by the garage gfci which was also replaced. The back receptacles are protected by the gfci open the deck. Also replaced the siding block on the back deck receptacle due to a large hole cut in the back of it leaving the wood exposed on the house next to live wires. Verified proper operation of all completed work with customer.
Installed a new 2 gang above fireplace in basement with two duplex receptacles in it. Receptacles are fed from the plug on the left of fireplace. Verified proper operation of all completed work with customer.
Customer had a power outage in 4 kitchen area outlets. Outlets were protected by a gfci in the beginning of he circuit. Gfci would not reset after tripping, removed device and found there was 120v on the line side indicating that the device had failed. Replaced the gfci and restored power to rest of circuit. Customer also said they felt like they were being shocked by kitchen switches. Replaced both switches for overhead light to make sure no voltage was leaking. There was also an issue in the bathroom with the light failing to turn on previously. After looking at switches noticed that the three way was failing and arcing on the inside. Replaced all switches in the bathroom. If any other devices have an issue they will also need to be replaced. Verified proper operation of all completed work with customer.
Discovered in diagnosis the range was faulty. Electric to it has 240 but some burners donâ€™t work and some do and the oven doesnâ€™t customer needs to call a range repairman for this issue
We have installed 2 new customer supplied pendant lights in the kitchen area. In addition we have installed a new dimmer to operate living room lighting.
We have removed and replaced the existing garage fixture and have replaced with a new customer supplied fixture. In addition we have replaced the 3 switches associated with this circuit at garage door entrance. Lastly, we have corrected all double tapped neutral wires in the main service panel.
