Great Service

The technician was on time very knowledgeable, took the time to address all our concerns and questions. He actually showed me what could be a problem and how to correct the issue. He did have some recommendations but was not pushy which I appreciate.

From the call to Haas office and the arrival of Mike to repair our electrical problem it was an absolute pleasure. Mike was so patient and professional doing a great job restoring our electricity. Good Walk-thru, Written Pricing Estimate?

Very good walk-thru of items to be done and the electrician did go over their estimate to do the items requested before he left. But still haven't received my written estimate via email as I requested.

Excellent service, polite and professional eletrician

The task Matt tackled for us was spread out over four long (for him) days, and he was prompt every day. Matt was very professional and his work ethic is beyond reproach. The work involved relocating a breaker panel, and running a new supply line on the outside of the house.. What I was most impressed by, though, was the fact that out of four electrical contractors we asked for prices, Matt/Haas and Sons was the only one who didn't balk when we asked for a permit to be pulled for the job. I would absolutely recommend Haas and Matt for any electrical work you need to have performed.

Today we found a hidden GFCI underneath the panel in the unfinished area in the basement which controlled the back lights as well as the bathrooms and outside plugs. GFCI was reset and power is restored.

Installation of dedicated circuit for attic radon fan. Radon fan is required to have a dedicated circuit for reliability. Radon fan is also required to have a dedicated circuit to prevent power loss and have no possibility of being accidentally turned off. Radon fan is also required to be on a dedicated circuit so the fan is not off when a shared circuit is accidentally tripped. Circuit will be ran by way of conduit through the exterior of the home and along side the slope of roof and then insert to attic. From the attic we will then install a new outlet for the circuit.

This solution includes the installation 2 dedicated 120V 20A circuits. One shall be terminated with a nema 5-20R receptacle. Additionally we shall reconnect the master bathroom bath fan and create a receptacle in the attic. All new devices shall be GFCI protected. This also includes an additional receptacle to be installed in basement, alleviating the double tapped neutral and installing common trip handle breakers for the multi feed circuits. Lastly this solution includes whole home surge protection at main panel. We have installed the 2 dedicated circuits and basement receptacles. We shall return tomorrow and complete the installation. We have installed the receptacle in the attic and have installed surge protector. Lastly we have reconnected the master bathroom bath fan fan.

Updating the ground rods in the home. This update is at request of the homeowner. The old ground rods are roughly 30 years old and the condition of the ground wire on the exterior is unknown. We will be installing two new ground rods and putting them below the grade of the earth. We will then trench the new ground wire over to the panel where we will drill a new hole and land the new ground rods on the ground bar. We will decommission the old ground rods and put them below the grade of the earth as well.

This solution includes the installation of new combo detectors in the home, 3 total. We have replaced the homes existing 120V smoke alarms with new 10year sealed, hardwired, interconnected combo detectors.

Replace three standard smoke detectors, and three smoke and carbon monoxide Smoke detectors in home are randomly chirping even after batteries were replaced. Units were installed roughly 10 years ago and are in need of replacing. We replaced 3 standard smoke detectors and 3 smoke and carbon monoxide combo detectors in the home.

Arrived onsite and residents have just moved in. We walked throughout the home and did a performance and safety assessment which we found stuff in the panel with multifeeds, a bad surge protector, and grouped neutrals and grounds. I also found no bonding in the basement to piping. The next thing we discussed was replacing all 3 of the smoke carbon combo detectors throughout the home because they’re out of date. After that we ran through the plan for a whole tesla ev charger installation, and then walked the home with the wife and talked about lighting throughout the home, exhaust fan replacements in all the bathrooms, outside light replacements, and the other stuff listed on the options i created. For today, the wife had to leave so i am going to email it to them so they can review the options i created and pick which best fits their needs.

Arrived onsite and reviewed with the residents what the inspection entailed and then had Brendon start upstairs, and i started downstairs at the panel and we worked our way to meet in the middle. Other than lack of bonding at the hot water heater I didn’t find any issues within the home currently. I brought up bonding and then we also talked about a wishlist item of theirs which was a bidet install for the future. I wrote up options and they are getting the bonding done today, and will see what fits their needs when the time comes in terms of the bidet.

Arrived onsite and the old resident showed us up to the condo, and we met with the new resident that showed us the inspection report. It was at this time they expressed they only wanted to address the items on the inspection for now, which included double taped neutrals on the neutral bar, a ground on the neutral bar, a hot for a circuit that was too short and was ran across the main lug area to reach, and multiple multifeeds. I also discussed whole home surge protection with them as well. The other item after looking over the report was lack of gfci protection and a proper cover on the balcony. I wrote up some options and ended up addressing all the direct concerns from the report, and verified that everything we touched is now working properly and installed to code. After work was complete i did a walkthrough with the resident and showed them everything has been corrected.

Reason for todays visit with the customer was a dedicated circuit for the new water heater. Customer at this time is still trying to figure out the equipment. We provided a quote for running the circuit. Our secondary quote was to run a new circuit, fix a shared neutral circuit, and put in surge protector. Customer is looking to get the work done roughly a month from now. He will call if he decides to move forward when the new water heater arrives.
