Outstanding!

I feel as if I had a much-needed lesson in home electricity operation from Michael. As a former teacher myself, I felt he did a good a job of explaining what he was about to do, considering I am unfamiliar with many of the technical terms. He and Blaine seemed to be working very efficiently, and I was delighted to have so many little problems corrected within the 5 (or so) hours they were here. I feel that my house is much safer now, and many household tasks will be easier for me to complete than they were before. Thank you, Michael and Blaine! (I don't really feel I can fairly evaluate the cost since my experience is so limited, and I had no other estimates.)

Nice job repairing broken outlet

We had an outdoor outlet that was fixed once before by another electrician and not working again. Alex suggested a fix to our GFIs that we was not cheap, but is a huge convenience because we no longer have frequent outlet outages following rains. He also quickly installed an outdoor light for us. Price is a bit high but done right

Excellent Service

Dennis worked with the deck company that was installing a deck to move an outdoor circuit to a more suitable location. The outlet move required a bit of work inside my home to bring things up to code. He explained everything and answered all of my questions. His work was excellent.

Amazing Service!!

Michael Wendler was an absolute total professional while at our home. He was courteous, efficient & communicated exactly what he thought the problem was & how he was going to approach it. He was as customer service oriented as anyone could be & should teach classes on how to interact with customers inside their home. As a result we will be having much more work done in our home by Hass & Sons. Also kudos to "Alex" & "Jenny" for their efforts on our behalf as well. They were also extremely professional! Finally I would like to thank "Krysta" for her professional manner over the phone (first impressions DO count) as this is not something one typically experiences anymore but in this case she represented Haas & Sons with excellent communication skills & a great demeanor! Thank you to everyone involved! Craig.

Today’s visit was for power loss to half of the home. During my investigation, I checked the voltage at the main panel as well as at the meter. The loss of face is due to a BGE issue. Customer already has a call out to them and they should be arriving sometime before 4 PM. I told the customer that if they have any issues after BGE fixes the voltage drop, to reach back out to us so we can take care of anything else that needs to be resolved. Let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!

Today’s visit was for attic fan not working. Attic fan has burnt out every year for four years in a row. Explained to customer that there is not enough airflow and a gable vent should be installed on the side. This will be the only way to ensure the motor stops burning out. Please see attached for solution to get this taken care of for you.

-Arrived onsite and did the first whole home inspection that this resident had. I explained in depth what all it involved and then began upstairs, and worked my way down, and to the panel. Throughout the home i found 2 switch’s in the upstairs hall bath, 2 switches in the first floor bath, and one in the laundry room that were old and certainly on their way out. Either the switch was cracked, loose, or making crackling sounds because it was old and barely making a connection. Other then that, after opening both panels i found 1 multifeed for the dish disposal circuit that i pulled the resident aside and was able to explain why it should be addressed. Otherwise, he has some future projects he wants to get done but it sounds like he’s shooting for this summer for that so for now, i wrote up options to do the multi feed correction, and then one option to do it with the switches. For now he wanted to just address the multifeed so that’s what i did. I went downstairs, removed the old 2 15

The reason for today’s visit was to quote adding a 60 amp EV charger circuit below the panel using customer supplied charger. We saw a newer 200 amp QO panel with correct grounding and bonding throughout the home. We recommended on installing a new circuit landing on a 50 amp GFCI breaker and adding whole home surge protection. At this time customer will need time to clear garage and will call back if deciding to schedule.

Reason for today’s visit was to look at an issue with the lights in the house flickering when equipment is turned on. Customer stated that he was having an issue that he recently noticed with lights in the house, flickering more than normal whenever the air conditioning kicks on. I was able to have him turn it on while I had my meter on the main lugs in the panel and found that one of the legs dropped roughly 18 V when the air conditioning was running. Customer has all the appliances in Home that are gas so he has very little load being used. It would appear that there is a loose neutral termination at the power company somewhere outside. I recommended replacing the original split bus panel with a new main breaker panel with all the new code and safety updates. This includes installing whole home surge protection, as well as an emergency disconnect on the outside of the home . I would also recommend installing arc fault protection in areas of the home.

Arrived onsite and the resident showed me the heat detector that matched the brand of smoke detectors they had installed into their home, build in 2022. He is getting solar done and they are requiring a heat detector to be installed in the garage for where the battery will be for safety reasons. I checked the Leviton panel and noticed the lack of whole home surge, which i went over the importance of especially with solar being installed, and double checked to make sure the smoke detector circuit was arcfault protected. I measured out the circuit and wrote him multiple options depending on whether the solar company wants permits or not, and one with the surge protection, which is the one i highly recommend. For today he just wanted to get some numbers because the project isn’t being done till June with solar so i am emailing the resident the estimates.

Today’s visit was for running a new circuit from the home to the new shed. We would run a 120V, 20A circuit underground using directional boring from the main panel to the shed. This circuit would be protected by a dual function breaker. We added an option to run the circuit from the sub panel in the addition of the home. This panel is newer and has more space. The downside of this option is it is farther from the home and would require slight drywall repair. The final option is to replace the existing main panel. The panel is much older and should be replaced. It is an older split buss panel with no main breaker which is at full capacity. Especially after we run the new circuit for the shed. We would replace the panel, install a disconnect, update grounding and bonding, install surge protection, pull permit, and coordinate with the power company. The option with the panel also includes the circuit for the shed. Please see attached for all options discussed on site. Let us know if

Reason for today’s call was kitchen circuit stopped working earlier in the week. Then started working again when she plugged her coffee pot into it a couple of days later. Everything was working when I arrived, however, I opened everything to take a look at it anyways and saw that both kitchen circuits were backstabbed on a 20 amp circuit which is highly unusual. The wires were starting to overheat and melt, and the countertop was not GFCI protected. Two out of the six receptacles were reading ground/hot reverse. To prevent having issues with the kitchen circuits again, we replaced all devices minus the GFCI she had replaced three years ago. See below for entire scope. Replace both kitchen circuits with new devices (2) interior GFCIs (4) standard duplex receptacles See also below for list of experts to repair your drywall from your plumbing issue. Thank you for your business!
