My entire experience was amazing! From the ease of booking to successful completion, everything was easy and went well. My electrician Nick took the time to thoroughly explain the situation in terms I could understand and went above and beyond to resolve my issue. I hope to not have frequent electrical issues, but if so, I will use Haas & Sons time and again.
Service representatives were timely, organized, neat and knowledgeable. Great work.
Genny and Josh of Haas & Sons Electric were outstanding! They arrived promptly as scheduled to install a new ceiling light junction and fan. They provided a quote and completed the job all in the same visit. They were both personable and professional. The price was significantly higher than anticipated however their work exceeded my expectations. I have many projects on the horizon requiring electrical services and look forward to working with them again. Highly recommend if you are looking for quality work from a team who prioritizes quality workmanship and safety above all else.
Mike knows what he is doing and he is excellent at what he does. What is equally meaningful and great is that he is so genuinely nice. This visit was second time he came to my home. He explains everything and is very much open to answer questions. I was comfortable and confident the work was thorough and excellent. I plan to request him every time!

Replace receptacle and stacker switch in bathroom with new GFCI and switch. Terminate aluminum wire with Alummiconns. Install customer supplied ceiling fan. Called out today to troubleshoot a bathroom switch and ceiling fans light that was not working. Upon inspecting the wiring I discovered it to be aluminum. Customer was aware of aluminum wiring throughout home and the dangers it present. The panel is a GE installed in the mid 90s. I saw signs of corrosion on the busbar and brought this to the customers attention, as well as the age and quality of these panels being a concern. I discussed replacing the panel and doing an aluminum remediation of all affected devices throughout the home. Due to the scope of work, a senior technician will need to come out to give accurate solutions. While inspecting the ceiling fan light, I discovered a wire had been pinched and damaged, causing the light kit to not work. There was also a large scorch mark on the motor housing from where the wire h

Arrived onsite this afternoon and talked to the wife when we arrived. They had just purchased the home and had a whole list of things to look at printed out, and i talked to them about a very in depth inspection vs a simple one of the sorts they were discussing. We determined before we started they needed a whole home inspection so we converted over to that immediately. Me and Tyler went and did a whole home inspection from the attic, to the panel, outside the home, inside the home, and inside every box as well. We found they dodged the aluminum wiring era but that nothing had been updated since the house was built. They have no smoke detectors in the entire home so i explained the process of hardwiring them throughout then home, i discussed the replacement of the panel and the 200 am heavy up that i recommend doing as well. As i went throughout there was no updates, the plates were all off because of the painting, and we could see right into all the devices. Most of them are so dust f

- replacement of old single pole switch with a timer switch that controls the light fixtures on the front door (customer supplied). - install new receptacle in unfinished area for internet box. - install power to receptacle over basement fireplace. Reason for today’s visit was to perform our annual maintenance inspection as well as to perform a couple customer requested task. Today we installed a new receptacle in which we tapped off of the switch in the basement front unfinished area for a low-voltage box for the Internet. We also referred a receptacle that had been disconnected sometime ago over top of the fireplace in the basement in which we tap power off of the switch directly behind it. Finally, we installed a customer supplied digital timer switch at the front door to control all the exterior lights. During the assessment, we did find that the main panels did not have surge protection, as well as a double tapped neutrals and multi fed circuits missing common trip breakers. GFCI
Reason for today’s visit with the customer was chirping smoke detectors. Upon arrival we discussed the two smoke detectors that were chirping. After they had changed the battery in the smokes they were still chirping. I believe these two units are faulty. I recommended replacing them all considering they were 6 years old. However, at this time the customer is going to get non-hardwired units until the other ones start going bad as well. While talking with the customer we started going over home projects that they were interested in. I provided quotes for two other projects. The first project was putting remote controlled fans in the back bedrooms and hanging a ceiling fan in the living room. The second project was a lighting project in the kitchen. This involved removing and replacing the recess lights with pendants, removing and replacing the chandelier, and finally installing a light fixture in the dining room. At this time customer is going to focus on the fan projects first. They w
Today’s visit was for ADT smoke detectors beeping. We found it was because of dead triple A batteries. We recommend for the future to buy 3 combo carbon/smoke detectors and 3 smoke detectors and have us replace one on each floor and wire and install one in each bedroom.
Reason for today’s visit with the customer was inspecting KIDDE smoke detectors that are nuisance alarming. The three smoke detectors upstairs are battery powered stick ups. The three carbons in the home are hard wired. At this time I believe it to be nuisance alarms due to all of them going off randomly. I recommended replacing them however the only way to make them interconnected is by hardwiring them. There are three smokes that need to be hardwired in the upstairs which I would interconnect off of the carbon at the top of the stairs. At the panel is a Slimline GE. There are five breakers that do not belong in this panel. I recommended replacing these breakers to ensure electrical safety. Customer has a surge protector currently installed in the panel as well. At this time customer is not interested in moving forward with the electrical work.

Today’s visit was for service cable ripped off of the side of the house due to the storm. The power company will typically reattach the cable to the house, but due to the extensive damage they are requiring for the service cable to be replaced. With replacing the cable, we will need to pull an electrical permit, bring up to current code standards per the county (2017 NEC) and meet BGE's requirements (power company) We will need to install a new overhead cable, BGE may update the electric meter, install a new cable from meter to panel, replace the split buss panel with a main breaker type, install two grounding rods, bond the water piping systems, and ground to the cold water piping. Our quote excludes repairing the siding that was torn down with the cable, mudding/ painting any finished surfaces.
