Upon arrival, I found the compressor not starting. The unit has a hard start kit and new turbo capacitor. After cycling it a couple times, I got it to kick on. I took start up amp reading and found it starting way over the manufacture specification. I powered it down to test other parts and I hooked up my gauges. It appears the refrigerant is not equalizing. This could be due to a failed TXV. A failed TXV could cause the compressor to go out. Without confirmation, it is only a speculation. Once the compressor is replaced, we may need to replace the TXV. I priced a compressor and equipment replacement. The compressor is currently on back order and estimated to be available in the middle of august. Warranty good until 2027
