Arrived on site for hard start kit installation. On initial testing found unit starting over 100amps. Installed hard start kit without issue and proceeded to test unit. Post installation unit was starting with 16amp, which is a night and day difference from what we were seeing before. This will reduce wear and stress on compressor and related electrical components. Homeowner also mentioned that master bedroom was not receiving enough air flow. Upon inspection I found the damper to that ducts had become almost shut. Removed damper as this is the longest run of duct and should need the most airflow. Added $80 charge to total for duct adjustments and resealing. Unit in good working order upon departure.
