Came out today for QC visit on new install. Homeowner stated they were having issues with the temperature balance on the upstairs. Upon inspection and testing the temperature of every room room, I found that the upstairs hallway was a few degrees warmer than any of the rooms. I found the downstairs thermostat set to 70 and the master bedroom thermostat set to 68. This would cause the downstairs unit to run constantly and because of the open floor plan, the heat would rise into that hallway area, causing a temperature imbalance. In order to address this, I adjusted some of the grills below the balcony to push the air more downward instead of straight out. I also pinched off a damper that came from the downstairs unit, but led to the second floor balcony. Started inside at t-stat (Lennox) tested gas heat . Tested normal cooling operation is level all wiring is good no error codes. Getting over 20 degree temp split. Drain line is draining well at this time. System is clean and operating
