Performed a visual inspection of mini split system in the kitchen and noticed visible water damage to the mantle and water stains on wooden beam underneath unit. I turned the system on and after 60 seconds of run time, a stream of water started pouring out of the unit. We proceeded to check the drain line and noticed there was very little condensation coming out of the drain line to the french pit on the exterior of the home. We proceeded to use a shop vac on the drain line and was able to clear the lines from the outside of the home. We continued to monitor the unit running for another 45 minutes without issue. I spoke with the homeowner and informed him that the cause of the problem was a clogged drain line and not a mechanical an install issue. I also physically showed him how to clear the drain line using a shop vac at the drain line outside of the home. I informed him that clearing the drain lines every 2 months may be necessary to prevent further damage to infrastructure. No furt
