I performed a single heating maintenance on a 2023 heat pump system. I checked amps, capacitor, filter, electrical, cleanliness, and safeties. During my thorough evaluation, I came across a couple of notable concerns. I observed that the indoor unit is free of growth with 0 preventatives to keep it that way. Airhandlers are prone to growth formations as early as the first year of install reducing air quality and straining the system. The outdoor capacitor is reading on the bottom edge of the rating ranged and in the process of failing. The outdoor unit sits at a slope. This causes the oil in the compressor to not return to the correct places. With it doing that, it causes hot spots resulting in irreversible damage. I provided pricing to address these issues at the time of service.
