I performed a single heating maintenance on a 2020 communicating gas system. I checked amps, capacitors, filter, electrical, cleanliness, and safeties. During my thorough evaluation, I discovered that the system is in deep need of a duct cleaning. Dust is the number 1 root cause of system failure. I noticed that the current filter does not fully seal when installed. This allows a bunch of the dust to bypass the filter into the rest of the system. I proposed upgrading the filter to help keep the system cleaner reducing cleaning costs. While outside inspecting the condenser, I documented excessive build up on the backside of the condensing coil. This air restriction makes the system cost more to run because it cannot efficiently remove the heat from the system, run time is increased, and it adds strain to the compressor/condenser fan motor. I provided options after the time of service due to poor internet connection. Customer would like to reach out to us within the next 2 weeks.
