Mr.Thigpen called in with a concern that his system was not cooling. I arrived at the home and spoke with Mr.Thigpen about his concern. I verified that the air handler was getting power and the call from the thermostat. I continued the diagnostics to the condenser unit and found that it was not running. Upon further inspection I found that the unit was in a lockout with an “L6” trouble code. I found that the capacitor that is rated for 45 mf was only reading 11.86 mf. I installed a temporary capacitor and I now have the system up and running. I also tightened the strap holding the sensor bulb for TXV, and rewrapped the bulb as well. The system is now operating properly. I will have to call ad order a new factory capacitor on a P&L ticket. Thank you for your business today. Quincy,Florida.
