Edison heating and cooling is wonderful to work with. They are my go-to for all heating and cooling needs. We have used them for all our needs including having a mini-split installed, an AC replacement and our furnace serviced and everyone has been great to work with, they're timely, honest and very personable. Bryant furnace tune up and water panel replacement
Performed comprehensive AC maintenance on Carrier 24ABC6 system. Cleaned condenser coils using Nu-Calgon 4291-08 Evap Foam No Rinse. Checked refrigerant charge with Fieldpiece SMAN460 digital manifold, adjusting R-410A levels to manufacturer specifications. Inspected and tightened all electrical connections. Replaced worn contactor with Honeywell DP2030A5004. Lubricated condenser fan motor bearings with Super Lube 21030 synthetic grease. Cleaned evaporator coil and condensate drain line. Replaced air filter with MERV 11 pleated filter. Tested capacitor using Fluke 87V multimeter. Calibrated Ecobee SmartThermostat for optimal performance. System now operating at peak efficiency with 18°F delta T across evaporator coil. Maintenance extends unit lifespan and improves energy efficiency.
Repaired an A/C unit making clicking noises. Diagnosed the issue as a faulty contactor. Disconnected power and replaced the defective contactor with a new one. Inspected and tightened all electrical connections to ensure proper contact. Tested the system for proper operation, confirming the noise was eliminated and the unit was functioning efficiently. Verified the overall performance and reliability of the A/C system.
Diagnosed and repaired Rheem RCFL-HM3617CC air handler. Identified failed ECM blower motor using GE TECMate PRO diagnostic tool. Replaced with OEM UltraTech 51-104305-04 variable-speed motor. Programmed new motor to match system specifications: 1200 CFM, 0.5" ESP. Verified proper communication between thermostat and air handler control board. Tested system operation across all fan speeds. Airflow and energy consumption now within manufacturer parameters.
Finishing up duct repair service today. Identified leaks using smoke pencils and pressure testing. Sealed leaks using UL 181-approved foil tape and mastic sealant to prevent air loss and improve system efficiency. Utilized sheet metal fabrication tools to replace damaged sections of ductwork, ensuring proper airflow distribution. Conducted airflow balancing to optimize performance across all vents. Inspected insulation for damage and replaced as needed to prevent energy loss. Conducted final pressure test to verify integrity of repairs. Executed preventative maintenance on a 4-ton Trane XR16 split system heat pump. Cleaned condenser coils using CalPro foaming coil cleaner. Checked refrigerant charge via superheat and subcooling methods. Replaced air filters. Lubricated motors and pulleys. Tested safety controls and evaluated operating pressures and temperatures.
