Unfortunately we had to use PDM twice within a couple of weeks, but fortunately for us we had Pete do the work both times. He is very polite, professional and did a great job both times. He kept the work area clean, caring for our carpet, etc. He explained everything to us before he left. Well done!

I’ve used PDM for several services: AC repair, furnace repair, replace some pipes to washing machine and to hot water heater (the water in my town is really bad), install hot water heater, and install water line from reverse osmosis system to refrigerator. Always done right. Professionals are knowledgeable and friendly. Prompt service and arrive within stated timeframe.

Open ceiling and dining room, found water dripping from vent pipes going up through wall behind shower in master bath. Pulled trim off of shower valve, found leak from leaking shower arm that was very loose. Resealed shower arm and tested. No leakage at this time.
Replaced capacitor on ac unit, system is at end of life span. Sent estimate on replacement unit. Air handler system. No warranty on repair. Please mail invoice copy and estimate.
Reinstalled faucet and drain after new countertop was installed.
ESTIMATE TO REPLACE COPPER DRAIN, WASTE AND VENT PIPING IN CRAWL
Water on hot side is cloudy, probably from air in the line or solids in the water. Appears to be safe.
Water leak. Found leak from wall connection of drain, not piped to code, but works for now until wall is opened and section of piping replaced. Cleaned up pipe from wall, replaced slip nut gasket, reinstalled piping and checked for leaks. Suggest opening wall and replace section of drain piping.
Air conditioner repair. No ac call. Found blower motor barely working. Tested blower motor capacitor and that was still good. Tested blower motor amperage and indicated blower motor was bad. As I was testing blower motor, motor came to a halt. Replaced blower motor with a 1/2 hp universal motor. Washed out fan cage and housing while having it out of furnace. Customer signed up for annual VIP maintenance program. Customer used one visit now for the condensing unit. Cleaned, washed out and serviced condensing unit. Tested capacitor, contactor, fan motor amperage and compressor amperage. Found the unit to be extremely dirty. After system was cleaned found capacitor extremely low on compressor side and empty on fan side. Replaced using a 45/5 mfd capacitor. Checked r410a refrigerant and it was at accurate efficiency range. Customer will have one more visit for this 2024 fall season. Furnace is a 90% Trane from 2003. Ac was replaced in 2015 by us. Amana condensing unit.
Drain cleaning. Rodded main from outside cleanout and used camera to inspect, line looks good but the pipe for the cleanout is snapped off which should be addressed.
Gas piping inspection. Investigate four gas lines in rental building. One of these lines are high pressure in the far north unit. Company that works for the owner has this unit locked out, they are aware this line is high pressure. They have to install a gas regulator on this unit before tenant moves in. A gas pressure regulator is a valve that automatically cuts off the flow of gas when it reaches a certain pressure. The prime function of the regulator is to put exactly as much gas into the piping system to prevent damage to the equipment.
Air conditioner maintenance. Cleaned, washed out and serviced condensing unit. Tested capacitor, contactor, fan motor amperage and compressor amperage and continuity. Unit was extremely dirty. Everything was in adequate working condition. Checked r22 refrigerant levels. At this time levels are in accurate efficiency range. Change filter. AC is clean and cooling as it should. Customer will have one more visit remaining on plan for 2024.
Gas piping. Cap gas line for stove and did leak check with meter, everything is operating safely.
Water backflow annual testing. Test and certified backflow and file paperwork with city per state code. 1-1 1/2” RPZ
Estimate to replace old plumbing water piping in crawl space.
Air conditioner maintenance. Cleaned, washed out and serviced condensing unit. Tested capacitor, contactor, fan motor amperage and compressor amperage and continuity. Everything was in accurate working condition. Checked R22 refrigerant. Levels were low. Added 1-3/4 lbs of refrigerant and leak sealant to achieve accurate efficiency range. Wrote customer estimate for new cooling system. Furnace filter was just changed. Customer will have one more visit for fall on plan.
