Customer concerned about unit not cooling properly. Checked thermostat calibration and filter location. Checked blower motor operation and inspected equipment cabinet. Located the blower motor is not spinning. Located the 7.5 mf capacitor has failed and needs to be replaced. Replaced capacitor and checked system operation. Fan motor is running and spinning. The outside condenser unit is running I have checked the refrigerant pressure in the condenser unit and inspected the attic insulation. Strongly recommend comfort advisor to speak with about unit upgrade to the energy standards of today’s equipment. Customer has approved for comfort advisor to estimate for unit replacement. 2.5 ton heat pump split system. Previous history has project estimate January 2024. Please advise.
