Called out today to perform a tune up on a 14 year old system. Checked all electronics and motor components to ensure equipment is operating properly. Checked filter Cleared drain line. Measured the temperature drop across the coil. Evaporator coil is heavily impacted with debris. Visibly showed the client that the blower capacitor has failed due to manufacture specifications. Tested float switch. Outside I checked refrigerant pressures. Noticed a burnt wire on the bottom of the contactor. Took amp draws. Filter drier is corroded. Gave options for preventative repairs and cleanings. Client has his house on the market and only wanted to take care of the burnt wire. Fixed wire and tightened all connections.
