I performed a heating maintenance on heat pump systems from 2019. I checked amps, capacitors, filters, electrical, cleanliness, and safeties. I noticed that one of the ducts is coming off of the main unit. This is causing condensation to form and drip down the plenum. The smaller unit is in need of a hard start kit to assist the compressor. It is making a rough sounding noise when starting up. I observed that the outdoor units do not have surge protection. With winter right around the corner, I advise these safeties to be installed to help protect the equipment.
