Demand call for upstairs heat pump from 2008 not blowing air. Upon arrival the customer showed me where the equipment was and where the thermostat is located. He mentioned that the upstairs blower wasn’t turning and that the unit outside was doing a click sound when it tried to run. During my inspection I checked to see if the blower motor was getting the proper voltage, 240 on high voltage and 24 on the low voltage. I was getting the proper voltage but the blower wasn’t turning on, I informed the customer about the issue and told him that we need to replace the motor so I can properly evaluate the rest of the system. He went ahead and approved the repair, after talking to him some more to make sure he was comfortable spending on that repair on an old system. Ordered the part through carrier and should be her by tomorrow, I informed the customer that once we have the motor in hand that we will call him to get the work scheduled. System is currently not running.
