Preformed maintenance on carrier split system, unit for the age is in ok condition, all amp draws, capacitors, and refrigerant were good. The starting amps were a bit high and I suggested adding a in rush device. Also he mentioned that the last company would replace the drain clean out, but believe we’re talking about the trap. It’s clear however, I think it would be a good idea to install a condensation safety switch so if it does back up it will just shut unit off instead of possibly getting water damage. Lastly we believe all units should have surge protection, we put surge protection on everything from computers to tvs to large appliances. AC units are a very large investment and it’s a good idea to protect them. Unit running at departure.

Preformed tune up on 2 xv gas systems, both units are running within manufacturer specifications. I dialed in refrigerant as is was on the low side of acceptable. I brought the unit from 7 degrees of sub cooling to 10. And the other was closer to 11. Both had a healthy TD. Recommend adding surge protection to furnace and also getting on a maintenance plan so we can keep labor warranties in tact. Homeowner told me to go ahead with maintenance. Unit running at departure
